Draco asks if he can open the kitchens. I agree, and he proceeds to tickle the pear on the portrait, which opens for us to enter through.

'You know, in the muggle word, pictures don't move, pears aren't ticklish and paintings don't swing around,' then I look around the kitchens and notice the small creatures blinking at us. 'And we certainly don't have those!'

'Wow, really? Muggles are so weird. And quite stupid,' he looks at me, slightly red. 'Sorry...'

'Don't worry- I should know, I've been living with some for 11 years!'

He laughs and says 'you know, I have one of these- his name is Dobby.' He mentions to the creatures.

'You own one of these?' I'm genuinely shocked. 'What are they- slaves?'

'Yeah. They're called house elves. I don't know, I think they kind of like working for witches and wizards.'

One of the small creatures come up to us. 'Good evening, Mister and Miss!'

'Awwwh!' I say, earning a strange look from Draco. 'What? They're kind of cute!'

The house elf looks up at me. 'I am Hemmo, how may I help you two?'

'Wait a moment, please, Hemmo, and we'll decide, okay?' I say warmly.

'Yes Miss. Yes Master.'

Draco looks at me. 'Pumpkin juice and pie?'

'Pumpkin juice and pizza!' I say.

'Fine. We'll have two pumpkin juices and a pizza, Hemmo.'

'Yes, Master. Right away Master!'

Another elf points out some chairs in a corner. 'You may wait there, kind sir and ma'am.'

'I like these elves... they're so cool! And totally polite.'

'Did you know if they do something wrong they must punish themselves for it?' Draco asks.

'What?! No way!' I say, shocked.

'They do,' Draco informs, with a slight hint of sadness in his voice.

'Awh, poor things!'

The pizza and pumpkin juice comes fairly quickly. We eat it in there, just in case anyone were to see us eating it elsewhere. We didn't really  want detention, now did we?

Eventually I say goodbye to Draco, who has a huge smile on his face, the weird kid. Oh, wait- I probably have a matching expression. I flounce off to the library, where I know Hermione would be. I can't wait to tell her everything!
