"Like-like"?

I slip onto the Gryffindor bench, flanked by the twins. They force Percy into the seat between Ron and Harry, who are sitting opposite us.

As soon as the food appears we dig in. Fat roast turkeys, mountains of roasted and boiled potatoes, bowls upon bowls of buttered peas, silver boats of thick, rich gravyand cranberry sauce lines the tables. 'The Dursleys would never cook anything like this- at least not for Harry and I,' I think. I know Harry is thinking the same thing. I glance over at Harry, and his eyes eat mine. We smile happily, me knowing that he is enjoying this as much as I am.

George taps my arm. He holds up a Christmas cracker- on steroids. They were obviously wizard versions of the ones we- well, technically speaking, the Dursleys- usually had. I pulled on one end and George pulled on the other.

It exploded. It sounded like a canon. Suddenly we're engulfed in pink smoke. Harry and Fred pull one and now the smoke is lilac (pink and blue smoke). We all laugh, and in this moment, I think I'm having the most fun ever. I look at what the crackers have spilled out- three live, white mice and a green beret. I pull the beret on and see Harry putting on a red Admiral's hat. My mice scurry off to join Harry's matching ones. I grin an extremely goofy grin at Harry. I see him glance at the High Table, where the teachers are, and look up, too. Hagrid is getting red in the face as he calls for more and more wine. He kisses McGonagall on the cheek. Instead of tutting she giggles and blushes, her top hat falling to the side.

Dumbledore swaps his pointed wizard's hat for a flowered bonnet and laughs at a joke Flitwick is telling him, just as desert is served. Ron reads out his joke from his Christmas cracker- it's honestly so bad... so bad that it's funny. We all laugh until tears as we swap jokes and stupid stories.

'Guys, guys, shut up a sec,' I laugh. 'I know this is cheesy as hell, but this is honestly the best Christmas I've ever had!'

Fred grins and holds his goblet of pumpkin juice in the air. 'I drink to that!'

I nudge him in the ribs, as we all sip from our goblets. 'I hope it'll be like this every year,' I think.

We eventually leave the table, pockets weighed down with things from the Wizard crackers. Harry's mice had run off- along with one of mine- and when he leans over and says 'Mrs Norris is going to have a great Christmas dinner,' I can't help but laugh.

We head up to the dorms to drop off our haul (I also go and get my presents from Harry's dorm). We arrange to meet in the common area after grabbing our coats. I grab mine, a beanie and some gloves. I'm about to go out the door, when a green box with a red ribbon catches my eye. Draco's gift.

I debate myself for a few seconds on whether I should or shouldn't open it yet. A few seconds later the box is open.

I look inside and jewellery box. I open it, to see a bracelet. It's a charm bracelet. It has three charms on it already. They must be wizarding charms, because they're moving around. There's a dragon, a lion and a castle. They each mean a lot to me.

The lion is for Gryffindor- the Gryffindor being me. The castle is for Hogwarts- where we first became friends. The dragon is for him. Draco means dragon in Latin, and also it's green- for Slytherin, I guess.

It's so beautiful. All I got him was some stupid chocolates... why couldn't I thought of anything better? I'm about to empty the wrapping paper and box into the bin when I see a letter. I sit down to read it, placing the jewellery box (with the bracelet inside) on the bedside table.

I begin to read it, but Harry pokes his head through the door. 'Hurry up, we're all waiting!'

'Sorry. I was just... ah..' I look around the room and spot my coat. 'Looking for my coat. Just found it.'
