Dean drags me off to the common room to get our homework and things. Then we head down to the library. We set up our books, quills and parchment on a table in the corner. Dean sits really close to me... almost too close.
'Dean? What'd you write for this one?' I ask.
He leans closer and looks at where I'm pointing. He tells me his answer. His face is still close to mine. He looks into my eyes, smiling. I turn away, blushing.
'Crap,' I mutter under my breath. Draco standing a couple of rows over. 'What?' Dean asks.
'Oh... I was just thinking, how about we uh, pack up. And then we could drop off our books and go for that walk you mentioned earlier?'
'Sure,' he said. We pack up and I bustle him out of the library. I look over my shoulder and see Draco walking over to where we just were. I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding.
Half an hour or so later, we head up to the common room. Dean starts holding my hand at the last staircase. We arrive in front of the Fat Lady. 'Awh! Look at the love birds!' she giggles.
I blush and look down, while Dean smiles over at me.
'Passwo-' she begins, but gets cut off by the portrait hole opening. Dean and I jump apart. Harry.
Ron and Hermione climb out behind him. 'What're you guys doing...?' Harry looks slightly annoyed.
Suddenly there's a voice behind us. 'They were being all lovey-dovey around the schoooool!' Croons the voice.
'We were not Peeves! We were just walking around, Harry. Cool it, okay?' I say. Dean nods in agreement.
'Whatever,' Harry grunts. 'Hagrid invited us over.'
'You coming?' Ron asks. 'Or are you staying with Red Card over here?'
I tell him that of course I'm coming. Dean and I bid each other goodbye and we start off to Hagrid's. The boys are in front, still talking about the Quidditch match, Hermione and I are in the back. She asks me what happened on the date with Dean.
I tell her about how close he was and how I didn't know what to think. And about our walk. I don't tell her about seeing Draco though. But she sees straight away that I'm not telling her something.
I refuse to tell her at first, but eventually she breaks me down and I tell her. 'So you're Dean's girlfriend now?' she asks.
'No. Yes. I-I don't know?'
Soon we get to Hagrid's.
''ello' he greets us. We walk into his small wooden house.
Soon- well straight away really- the subject of our discussion is on the match. Hagrid tells him that Gryffindor won 170-60. And Hermione, Ron and I tell Harry what happened to his broom.
'Snape was doing it!' Ron says.
'Eh? Why would he do that?' Hagrid says, looking puzzled.
'We saw him! Hermione stopped him!' I exclaim.
Hagrid shakes his head. 'No! He wouldn't.' He obviously didn't hear what happened next to him in the stands.
Then big-mouthed Harry decides to say, 'I found out something about him. I trust you've heard about the huge three headed dog in the castle? Yeah well he tried to get past it.' Ron stifles a laugh and mutters 'and totally failed.'It was 'On Halloween,' Hermione adds.
'We think he's trying to steal... whatever it's guarding...' I finish.
Hagrid drops the teapot of boiling water. 'HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT FLUFFY?!' He yells.
