It's Thursday! We finally have our first flying lessons!
Harry doesn't seem to keen- I think it's because we're doing it with the Slytherins. That means lessons with Draco! But I don't think Harry exactly likes them- especially Draco.
That morning at breakfast, the mail came as usual. Neville, who was sitting on my left, looked quite surprised to see a barn owl deliver a parcel to him. And then I was surprised when a small parcel and a letter showed up with a beautiful owl. It was black with gold flecks. It was... wow.
Neville opens his first. 'Oh, wow! Gran sent me a Remembrall! She knows I always forget stuff, but now I will remember if I did!' He laughs at his own pun. So do I, to be nice.
The Remembrall was actually so cool! It was glass ball, around the size of a marble. It seemed to be full of white smoke. Neville explains how it works: 'So, you hold it like this... and if it turns red, that mea- oh.'
'You forgot something, didn't you Nev?' I ask.
'Yeah... and did you just call me Nev?'
'Yes, I shorten names and give people nicknames a lot.' I look at Harry slyly.
'No, don't,' he says.
'Correction: Yes, do,' I grin. 'I'm very good at making nicknames, right... Hazza?'
'Oh god, shut up!'
'Open yours Lydia!' says Neville.
I open mine. It's a bag of sweets. They're just like the ones Draco usually gets. I look at the letter.
"Lydia,
I kind of felt bad, because you and Harry never get mail. Share the lollies with him if you want. This is to repay you for the kitchen stuff. See you in flying! Or you could meet me at the black lake 10 minutes before lunch? I swear I'll remember the time!
-Draco"
'Who's that from?' Asks George sitting down. I ignore his question, I don't really want people to know.
'Bet you're not going to give us any!' laughs Fred.
I look at the bag. It's huge, especially for me and Harry. 'You two, Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville can have some- just not right now. Common room, five minutes.'
I mention to Hermione and she quickly gets up. 'Who sent them?' she asks.
'Woah, wait. I'll tell you as soon as we're out of the hall,' I say while looking around for Draco. He nods towards the pond and I nod.
We get out of the hall and she turns to me. 'So?'
'Look.'
She looks over the letter and smiles. 'You two are so cute!'
'Who are so cute?' Really? Pansy, again? She's been giving me the death stare for about a week now. She sees the bag of lollies. 'Those are Draco's.' She tries to take them.
'Nope. Not since he gave them to me.' Me and Hermione quickly run to the common room, leaving her standing in a dripping pool of jealousy.
---10 minutes before lunch---
'Draco!' I yell.
'Hey, did you like the sweets?'
'Yeah... so did Harry- and Ron, Fred, George, Hermione and Neville.'
'I bet you offered.'
'Of course, because I'm a very nice person.' We both start to laugh.
