After a couple of hours have passed of us talking.
"It's been difficult" Jenny said.
"You should tell him, Jenny" Abby admitted.
"Should I? You know when I met him I just wanted a fresh start, I wanted to forget about everything, after everything that had happened, I just wanted to forget about the anomalies and Cutter" she bowed her head there was no denying how much Nick had meant to Jenny, how much she cared for him.
"We should get married here" Connor blurted out.
This caused the three of us to turn quickly to him and for Abby to look at him completely astonished and a little stumped "should we?" Were her only words.
Jenny looked exceptionally awkward, while I picked up a book that was left on a table beside the chair.
"Well er theoretically" he recovered badly "if we were to ever.. to ever you know...ever go down the road of... you know? Go down the road of complete".
"I'm going to go and get some more champagne" Abby said getting up stiffly.
"I just said something bad"
"Connor a word of advice, it's customary to propose to the girl before you start planning the wedding" Jenny tells him as I sat opposite him, hiding my laughter in my glass of orange juice.
"Well it's about that time" Jenny sighed happily as she walked over to Michael and kissed him gently "I will see you tomorrow" she then walked and picked up a bottle of champagne "my room?" Jenny said to Abby and I.
"Yes please" Connor said, finishing his glass.
"Women, Connor" Jenny corrected.
"Sexist".
"Emily?" Jenny turned to Emily who was sitting in the single chair.
Matt turned and spoke harshly "she stays with me".
Emily looked a little shocked and Jenny seemed surprised by this "she stays with me" Jenny mocked a little "what, are we in the 1800's ?"
"I think it's time we all turned in,"
"Gosh, he's Mr fun, isn't he? Must be a laugh a minute on the team now" Jenny said.
"Yes, thank you, I'd love to come" Emily broke in and stood up.
"Have fun" Connor said, "we will" he added a simple sarcastic to his voice as he glanced at Matt and Michael, knowing that neither of them would as they don't know Michael well enough.
I couldn't help but laugh at Connor, knowing that he will be the only one enjoying the evening as Matt will probably just sit there and have small talk and given the fact that Michael has no idea about anomalies. Connor will be doing most of the talking and hopefully he doesn't say something embarrassing.
