I arrived at a museum for modern art at the same time as Matt, Abby and Becker but getting out of the car was quiet difficult considering I was in this big Victorian dress, I was on my way home from a friends party the theme was high society London.
"Don't you look lovely" Abby compliments me as we walked through the door were a solider tells us that the anomaly is on the first floor and that the building has been cleared. Getting up the stairs was not fun as I couldn't really see the stairs but Becker helped me get up then by giving me his arm.
We didn't even manged to walk more than a twenty steps from the stairs as repetitive electronic growling started to ring out through the building, looking up to see us on the screens, which is quiet weird.
"Motion detector" Matt tells us.
"Video installation, a bit old and tired" Becker says "I'm more of a post-impressionist myself".
"You know, the more I get to know him, the more frightened I get" Matt says as Abby laughs.
"You get use to him" I tell him, following them to the anomaly we passed baby dolls stuck in pots and a wired mannequin until we finally found the anomaly that was next to some office rooms, setting down the case with the locking device when the electrical system starting going off again.
"Something must've triggered it" Abby says as Becker was the first to go and see what triggered it as Matt and Abby followed while I stayed beside the anomaly encase it came this way.
The next thing I know chirping and a raptor trying to climb the poles that where steadying the second floor.
"Don't shoot" Matt says.
"Why?" I heard Becker say.
"I think it likes you" Matt says, which is great.
"It doesn't like me, it's threatened by me" Becker says "it sense that I'm the Alpha male" .
"Guys can you usher it back in, Becker you may have to run for it" I say moving off to the side.
"Seriously Becker, run for it" Abby tells him as I heard him yell at the Raptor before a lot of running and things breaking before Beck stops and stands in front of the anomaly, as I stood of to the side I couldn't get a good shot but still raised my EMD just in case but luckily Becker ducked and the Raptor jumped over him and straight into the anomaly as Abby rushes to close it.
"Any injuries?" Matt asked "good work, everyone" Matt praised
"Everyone? Next time, you run" Becker tells him as I rubbed his arm in sympathy as I watched Abby sign after she checked the date machine.
"Everything alright Abby?" I asked.
"No, guys we have a problem".
"What?" Matt asked.
"We've just sent a Raptor back through to the late 1860s" Abby informs us.
"What? How is that even possible?" Becker asked as Matt looked down and picked up a newspaper that must have blown through the anomaly.
"Victorian newspaper, the device is correct".
"Spring Heeled Jack?" Becker asked confused as he handed the newspaper to Abby "look at those claws, they even giving it a nickname".
"Jess we've just sent a raptor back to Victorian London, I need you to check news, archives for the period" Matt asked Jess "look for references to a 'Spring Heeled Jack' please".
