A couple of days after the incursion with the beetles, Lester called all of us in a meeting obviously been informed on what happened.
"So, I leave for a matter of days and in that time you nearly destroyed the ARC and nearly killed Acacia" he looked at Connor and me before moving on to Matt "and you turn out to be either a visitor from the future or in fact and I think this is the more likely option; clinically mad".
"The former" Matt tells him "but then I would say that if I was clinically mad, right?"
"Don't you have security checks for this sort of things?" Lester asked Becker who was leaning against the window was not happy at all with Matt and the fact that I knew about him.
"Sorry Sir, the machine that checks whether people are from the future was out of order" Becker sarcastically said
"I'll do the sarcasm, if you don't mind" Lester tells him.
"So, Philip was in league with Helen and the machine he's building is the trigger to the end of the world?"
"In a nut shell" Matt confirmed
"I'll talk to the Minister, see if I can get a DA25 get him shut down".
"We'll as daring, last minute attempting to save the world go that's really bureaucratic" Connor tells him.
"Do we have an alternative?" Lester asked.
"Yes!" Matt says standing up and going to stand next to Connor "I go to New Dawn and shut it down".
"I gave him the security codes, he's got the schematics for the whole building" Connor says "if he can make it to the machine, he should be able to sabotage it".
"And I need you to distract, Philip and keep him away from the machine and buy me some time, okay?" Matt asked Connor just as the door opens and in walks the devil himself as we all turn to look at him making things awkward.
"What an awkward silence" Philip says as none of us turn to look at him "anything I should know?"
"No, no, no, no purely routine" Lester tells him "well thank you, dismissed".
"Come on, those dinosaurs don't chase themselves" Lester continues as we walk out of his office and not soon longer the alarm sounded through the hub as we all rushed towards the ADD.
"Jess what have we got?" Becker asked her as she looks up the coordinates.
"It's in the city centre" she says as I get a nonfiction from my mother in law.
"Jess, turn on the news, now!" I ordered her as she did so and to our horror its camera footage of a T-rex
"Not exactly the moment for standing around watching telly" Lester interrupted us as he joined us leaving Philip in his office watching the news "Matt, Im going to see the Minister, I'll be in touch. Oh and if someone could think of a cover story for the 6:00 news?"
"I say we blame the Russians" I suggest.
"Okay, the plan stays the exactly the same, Jess you coordinate" Matt ordered "Acacia, Abby, Becker and Emily you're on the T-Rex and Connor keep Philip here" .
"Connor you coming?" Philp asked as he walks up to Connor as the rest of us ran past him.
