(18) Trapped

Yuri was running in the forest. It was dark everywhere; there was no source of light anywhere. She kept running and looked back to see shadows chasing her. They were faster and caught up with her. The darkness was overwhelming, and there were voices everywhere.

"Caught you."
"Why did you run away, baby?"
"Should I knock some sense into you?"

She heard their voices as they caught her.

Just then, Yuri woke up with a jerk, sweat on her forehead, panicking, breathing heavily, crying.

She had a nightmare from her past. But why now? She had gotten over these nightmares, but they started haunting her again, maybe because of what she saw yesterday. Just then, someone came inside her room. He saw her crying and hugged her, patting her hair.

"It's okay," he whispered, trying to comfort her. "I'm here."

She opened her eyes and saw Dino. Panic surged through her, and she started pushing him away. "Leave me! Go! I don't want to see your face."

Dino remained calm until he heard her say, "I can't live with you guys. You guys are physcopath killers , monsters."

His demeanor shifted, and he harshly gripped her wrists, looking directly into her eyes. "If we were monsters, then you wouldn't be sitting here, throwing your hands on me. You would be in my bed, all tied up. I wouldn't have to stop myself to do those dirty things you make me imagine."

She shivered at his words, fear gripping her heart.

"And as for not wanting to live with us? Oh, baby, you'll live with us forever. You've seen enough of our sweetness; now you'll see what we are truly capable of.Why can't you see that we did that for you to protect you. And they dared to touch you they dared to touch what's MINE." He released her hands and cupped her cheeks, smiling widely. "But don't worry," he continued softly, "we won't hurt you. We could never hurt you, babe. You are ours. You are mine."

He kissed her cheeks and whispered, "Now be a good girl and sleep, okay? I dont want my yuri to get tired. "

As Dino left, Yuri's tears flowed freely. She went to the balcony and sat down, her heart heavy with despair.

"Why was I born? If only I wasn't born, my parents would still be alive. I don't have my family; everything is wrong. My adoptive parents died, my studies were cut short, my job is gone. I thought these people were nice, but they are just merciless killers, and they seem like psychopaths. I don't have a house, I don't have freedom, and my dreams are shattered. I want to be alive, just once. Please, I don't want to slip into their darkness. I don't want to die."

Next Morning

Yuri was asleep on the balcony. As she opened her eyes, the bright sun greeted her, bringing back memories of everything that had happened the previous night. Slowly, she got up and headed straight to the bathroom to get ready.

After getting ready, she took out her canvas and started painting. Today, she painted her inner thoughts, pouring her emotions onto the canvas. She didn't go downstairs for breakfast, not wanting to see any of them.

There was a knock at her door. "Yuri, come for breakfast," called Joshua. But she didn't want to see them, so she didn't reply. After a few minutes, he left.

Hours passed, and it was now lunchtime. Yuri was still painting when there was another knock at the door. This time it was DK calling her for lunch. Again, she didn't reply. A few minutes later, the door burst open, revealing Mingyu. He strode toward her and said, "Yuri, please come and eat. You haven't eaten anything."
