As Mingyu finally left, Yuri wiped away her fallen tears, her breath shaky as she tried to regain control of her emotions. She stood there for a moment, her body trembling, but not from fear this time-no, it was from the sheer absurdity of it all.

They really think me agreeing to marry Jimin is worse than what they did to my mother... she thought bitterly, a dry chuckle escaping her lips. The irony of it gnawed at her. They're so blinded by their obsession that they can't even see the blood on their own hands.

Her heart clenched at the memory of her mother, taken from her because of their selfish actions. And now, here she was, bound to them by vows she never wanted, paying for crimes she never committed.

But instead of breaking down again, she forced herself to move. She had to stay strong, even in this nightmare. She walked over to the counter, grabbing a pan and setting it on the stove. Her hands moved automatically as she started preparing breakfast, her mind elsewhere. It was strange, really, how something so mundane could feel like a form of rebellion.

Let them think they've won. Let them believe they control me, she thought, her gaze hardening.

With that silent promise to herself, Yuri continued cooking, her mind already spinning with thoughts of survival.

As Yuri placed the food on the dining table, she waited nervously, unsure of where the others were or which rooms they occupied. She glanced around the unfamiliar mansion, her heart heavy with uncertainty.

After a few minutes, she spotted Seungkwan and Vernon descending the stairs, dressed as if they were heading out. They were deep in conversation, seemingly unaware of her presence until she spoke up hesitantly.

"I made breakfast," she said, her voice quiet, hoping to make a small connection.

Seungkwan and Vernon stopped talking and turned their attention to her. They exchanged a glance before walking over to the table, sitting down without acknowledging her further. They both took the plate and started eating.

Seungkwan spat the food out, his face twisted with disgust. "What the hell is this, Yuri?" he said harshly, throwing the spoon down on the table. Vernon, barely swallowing the bite he had taken, reached for his glass of water, his expression equally disdainful.

"Yeah, seriously... this is disgusting," Vernon added, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, glaring at her as if she'd done it on purpose.

Yuri stood there, her heart sinking. She had tried her best, hoping that maybe, just maybe, a simple meal would ease the tension. But instead, it had only made things worse.

Seungkwan, his voice dripping with sarcasm, spoke again. "I guess you must've been living like a princess in your brothers' house, huh? No wonder you forgot how to cook," he sneered, crossing his arms as he leaned back in his chair. "Makes sense why you wanted to marry Jimin, right? Someone to keep treating you like royalty."

Vernon chuckled darkly, adding to the insult. "Probably never lifted a finger there. Just living in luxury, huh? Must've been nice, thinking you could escape us and play house with him."

Yuri felt the sting of their words, tears welling up in her eyes. They were wrong. They had no idea what she had been through, what she had sacrificed, and how hard she had fought to survive. But to them, she just became a spoiled girl who had betrayed them for another man.

"I-" she started, but her voice cracked. She wanted to defend herself, to tell them they were wrong, but the words wouldn't come. Instead, she swallowed her pain, the tears slipping down her cheeks as she stood there, feeling smaller than ever.
