Yuri’s eyes fluttered open, feeling the soft warmth of Seungcheol’s breath on her neck. She shifted slightly and turned to find him snuggled into her side, sleeping peacefully, his expression soft and innocent, a stark contrast to his usual demeanor.

A gentle smile tugged at her lips as she gazed at him, taking in his features. Her fingers lightly traced along the contours of his face—the strong line of his jaw, the curve of his cheekbones, the softness of his lashes against his skin. She adored him, this man who, to the world, appeared as a cold-hearted, powerful mafia leader, always strict, always composed.

But here, lying next to her, he looked like nothing more than a boy, vulnerable and at peace. The way he held onto her, the way his features relaxed in his sleep, made him seem so different from the person he had to be in front of others. She couldn’t help but think how lucky she was to see this side of him—the one he kept hidden, the one he only let her see.

Unable to resist, she leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his forehead, whispering, "My tough, stubborn Cheol... but so soft and lovable."

Feeling her kiss, Seungcheol’s grip around Yuri’s waist tightened, pulling her fully onto his chest. With his eyes still closed, he whispered in a low, tender voice, “My fragile, peaceful reina… yet so bold and daring…”

A smirk tugged at his lips as he opened his eyes, his gaze locking with hers, filled with a warmth that only she was allowed to see. “A side only I get to see here, like this,” he murmured, brushing his thumb along her cheek before he leaned in, capturing her lips in a deep, lingering kiss.

His fingers tangled gently in her hair as he kissed her slowly, savoring every moment, as if there was no rush, no world outside this room—just the two of them.

Seungcheol’s phone rang, and he sat up in bed, pulling Yuri onto his chest, his hand gently tracing her waist. He answered the call on speaker, snuggling closer to her neck.

“Hm,” he responded.

“Good morning, Sir,” Jisoo’s voice greeted. “I’ve sent the email with the performance summaries of all the companies. You can review it and let me know which ones need meetings scheduled.”

“Hm,” he replied again before ending the call.

He opened his email, scrolling through the performance summaries. As he reviewed the data, Yuri leaned in closer, her head resting against Seungcheol's shoulder as she peered at the screen, her brows furrowing as she tried to make sense of the charts and graphs. She whispered, "i don't understand anything"

Seungcheol chuckled, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her even closer. “You don’t need to worry about that,” he murmured. “It’s just some up and downs."

He scrolled down the report, his eyes narrowing slightly as he made mental notes. Sensing the sudden shift in his mood, Yuri gently rubbed his shoulder, as if to offer a silent reassurance.

Yuri hesitated for a moment, sensing the shift in Seungcheol's mood. She glanced down, fidgeting slightly before looking back up at him, her eyes filled with a quiet resolve.

“Cheol… there’s something I wanted to talk about,” she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

He set his phone aside completely, his full attention on her as he pulled her into his lap, wrapping his arms around her protectively. “Yes, what is it, love?”

She took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. He gently cupped her face, brushing his thumb across her cheek. “Tell me, Riena. Whatever it is, I’m listening.”
