I was working in my office when I got a call from Jeonghan. The moment he said she ran away, I threw my phone in frustration.

"Why? Why does she have to run? Not now, when I know who is searching for her."

I have to keep her with me to protect my empire from collapsing. If they get her back, everything will fall apart.

Flashback

We were all sitting in the meeting room when an emergency alarm went off. DK answered the security team's call, and they informed him they had captured a spy. We exchanged looks and hurried to the basement where the spy was held.

Hoshi started interrogating the spy in his usual brutal way. After an hour of torture, the spy finally spilled everything.

He claimed to be a BTS spy sent by Jungkook.

We all looked at Mingyu and Wonwoo, who were close to Jungkook. Both of them had angry expressions.

But what the spy said next made our eyes widen.

"He- he is searching for her".

He? Why is he searching for her? Why does he want her?

It's been five years since the BTS members stepped back from the mafia business due to their own reasons and decided to go on hiatus a few years back. And we had a pact of alliance that we will never come in each other business after what happened.

I took out my gun and shot him before he could say anything else. The others looked at me, trying to process what had just happened. I knew what they were thinking: is it true that my father killed her biological parents? The thought echoed in my own mind. Could it be true? But my father, being the mafia king, had killed many. So who is she, really?

I came out of my thoughts and told everyone to gather in the meeting room.

Soon, everyone gathered, but there were one empty spots. Seungkwan mentioned, "He went to check on the ATEEZ planters."

I sighed and started the meeting. Jeonghan spoke first, "Mingyu, Dino, Hoshi, Wonwoo, and I were discussing the things we got to know and I think she overheard us and ran away."

I looked at The8, who anticipated my next question. "I've already sent her information to all our men. They're searching for her at the outskirts."

Yuri pov

I ran faster and faster. I was tired, sweating, and lost in the middle of a dark forest. I was scared. It felt like someone had been tailing me since I left the mansion. There was a constant sense of being watched. Grabbing a stone in my hand, I hid behind a tree, looking around frantically.
