It had been a month since Yuri had come to the Seventeen mansion. On this particular day, she found herself sitting outside in the park, trying to find a moment of peace in the midst of her captivity.

DK saw her from a distance and decided to approach. Over the past week, Yuri had been maintaining her distance from him, ignoring his attempts to interact. As he got closer, she stood up and began to walk away, hoping to avoid any confrontation.

"Yuri, wait!" DK called out, but she continued walking, her pace quickening.

Frustrated, DK reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her to a stop. "Why can't you just talk to me?" he shouted, his voice a mix of anger and desperation.

Yuri got scared of his sudden change in expression but still answered courageously, "Because I don't like you guys. You guys are selfish and only think about yourselves. You kill people for your own benefit."

His anger grew more intense, and he gripped her wrist harshly, leaving a bruise. "You dared to shout at me, huh?" he spat, his voice low and menacing.

Yuri winced in pain but didn't back down. "Yes, I dared. Because I'm tired of pretending everything is okay. It's not okay, DK. This whole situation is wrong, and I don't want to live here."

DK's grip tightened, but his eyes showed a flicker of uncertainty. "You don't understand," he said through gritted teeth.

Suddenly, he grabbed her hair harshly and yanked her head back to look at him. The pain was sharp, and tears welled up in Yuri's eyes as she instinctively held his hand, trying to lessen the pull. "What a brat you are," he snarled. "We saved you from Ateez, gave you nice clothes, nice food, a nice house. In return, we just asked for some love from you, but you don't understand. Why are you like this, huh, baby girl?"

He moved closer to her face, inhaling deeply. "You smell so good," he whispered, his voice low and menacing.

Yuri's heart pounded in her chest, a mix of fear and anger coursing through her. "This isn't love, DK," she managed to say, her voice trembling but defiant. "This is control and obsession. I never asked for this."

DK's eyes darkened with anger, but beneath it, there was a hint of something else-confusion, perhaps even guilt. He let go of her hair abruptly, causing her to stumble back. "You don't know what you're talking about," he muttered, more to himself than to her.

Yuri took a step back, her hand rubbing her scalp where he had pulled her hair. "If you really cared about me, you wouldn't treat me like this," she said, her voice steadying. "You'd let me go."

DK stood there, torn between his emotions, his hands clenched into fists. For a moment, it seemed like he might lash out again, but then he turned away, his shoulders slumping. "You don't get it," he said quietly, almost to himself. "You never will."

With that, he walked away, leaving Yuri standing alone in the park, her body trembling from the encounter. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. The road to freedom seemed longer than ever, but she knew she had to keep fighting, not just for her physical freedom, but for her dignity and self-respect as well.

Yuri went back to her room and found Vernon already there. Surprised, she asked, "What are you doing here?"

"I was looking for you," Vernon replied simply. They both sat down on the bed, and he noticed her disheveled state. Concerned, he asked what had happened.
