He paused, his breath hitching at the sound of her pleading tone. For a moment, something flickered in his eyes—a glimpse of the boy who once cherished her. But then, he turned away, standing by the window, his back to her.

“Leave before I do something wrong. Fucking leave,” he growled, his voice laced with a mixture of frustration and despair. Without another word, she got up and fled the room, her heart pounding in her chest.

She hurried down the hall to the guest room she had visited earlier, the door closing with a soft click behind her. Leaning against it, she slid down to the floor, wrapping her arms around her knees.

The silence in the room was deafening. She buried her face in her arms, feeling the weight of everything crash down around her. How had it come to this? The people she loved, the ones who had once brought her joy, were now tangled in chaos and anger.

Her mind raced with thoughts of DK’s anger. The sense of safety she once felt was slipping through her fingers like sand. As tears spilled over her cheeks, she couldn’t help but wonder if this was what love had become—a battle of wills, a constant struggle for control.

She inhaled deeply, trying to steady her breathing as she replayed the heated moments between them. She didn’t want to fight; she just wanted peace. But how could she find it when everything around her was falling apart?

Yuri stood in front of the mirror, her reflection a painful reminder of everything she had been through. Her lips were cracked and bleeding at the corners, faint bite marks littered her neck, and her red, swollen eyes told the story of endless tears, Her messy hairs. The sight filled her with rage, but it wasn’t aimed at anyone else.

She was angry at herself.

Angry at the reflection staring back at her, the one that looked so defeated, so powerless. She clenched her fists at her sides, nails digging into her palms, as her emotions churned violently within her. Why had she let herself become this weak? Why had she allowed everything to fall apart like this?

Her chest heaved as the wave of frustration built inside her, growing stronger with each passing second. "Why?!" she screamed, her voice breaking through the silence of the room. "Why am I this weak?"

Tears welled up in her eyes again, but this time they weren’t just born from sadness. They were fueled by fury—at her fate, at the circumstances that had led her here, and most of all, at herself for not being able to fight back harder.

With one swift motion, she swung her arm across the vanity, sending everything on it crashing to the floor. The loud noise filled the room, but it wasn’t enough to drown out the scream of frustration that tore from her throat.

She fell to her knees, her breath ragged and uneven, as the weight of it all crushed down on her. How did she end up like this? When had she lost control?

Yuri pressed her trembling hands to her face, trying to push back the flood of emotions, but it was no use. Everything had reached a breaking point, and there was no holding it in any longer.

"I can’t keep doing this," she whispered, her voice barely audible.
She closed her eyes, letting the tears fall freely now, wishing she could find the strength somewhere, anywhere, to rise above this pain.

In a moment of despair, she shattered the mirror, the sound echoing like a final goodbye to her old self. She picked up a jagged shard, holding it close to her wrist, but then stopped, breath hitching in her throat.

Why should I die? What have I truly done wrong?

Thoughts raced through her mind. I stayed away from my family because of them. My mother was killed because of them. I’m far away from my brothers because of them.
