Sirius was frantic. This ache in his chest wouldn't go away, and he had yet to hear from James about him taking his precious Jewel and Anthony for the weekend so they could have their time alone too.

Unable to take the nawing feeling in his gut, Sirius flooed over to Potter Cottage. Upon his arrival, his ears were accosted by Anthony's heartbreaking wails. James' hair was standing on end more than usual, and Lily looked as though she hadn't slept at all. "What on earth is going on here?" He called out, the attention of the adults turning to him.

"Sirius! Thank Merlin! Can you help James with Anthony while I grab a shower? Yea? Thank you!" Lily didn't even wait for him to respond before she was taking the stairs two at a time. Confused beyond words the dog-star went to his nephew and took him from James' arms. Anthony immediately settled down feeling the magick Sirius shared with his twin surrounding him. James seemed to be at a loss, as to why his son's entire personality had shifted within a day. "What happened here Jamie?" Sirius asked again while looking for his Jewel.

"She's not here, Pad's" James answered his unasked question. "Dumbledore took her to be raised elsewhere so that we can prioritize Anthony and the training he'll need for when you-know-who returns." Sirius froze. Unable to comprehend what his friend had said. "What? You allowed what to happen?!" James seemed taken aback by Sirius' incredulousness toward him. Seeing him confused, Sirius elaborated. "You allowed Dumbles to convince you that separating magical Twins was a good idea?! Did it ever occur to you what would happen to them mentally and emotionally to have that bond strained at such a young age?!"

Sirius began pacing trying to keep his head. "Tell me where she is. If you want them raised separately, fine, but at least give her to me so that they can continue to bond!" He implored. But seeing the sadness and uncertainty on James face, Sirius knew he'd not be seeing his Goddaughter for a long time. "The professor refused to tell us where he placed her. Swore to me they'd both be safer that way."

Hearing James response, the Grimm Animagus knew he couldn't continue associating with the Potter's on this level. It was time to take a step back, and pray, at that his best mate got his head on straight eventually. Handing a now sleeping Anthony to his father, Sirius did what he could to stem the tear flow. "Moons and I will stick around for Anthony, but I have to step back. I can't- You abandoned your daughter, to Merlin only knows what kind of life, on the word of one man alone. I cannot in good conscience stay the way I have been. Unless it is for my nephew, don't contact me. Goodbye James." Walking away from his best friend, Sirius stumbled through the floo before James could respond. His sight was so foggy from tears he fell one step into the house, only for Mooney to catch him on the other side as he screamed his lungs out in pain and frustration.

Explaining what happened to Mooney resulted in Remus flooing to the Potter's and tearing a new hole into both Lily and James for child abandonment, and a threat that if they try to keep his Godson away from them too, there will be hell to pay. Upon arriving back at 12 Grimmauld Place, Remus and Sirius came to a silent agreement. They would hunt for Morgana, and find the true ideals behind the other-side of the war, because surely, they would never treat a child like that.

Meanwhile back in the 10th Century;

The founders had worked together to get 6 different Nurseries set up throughout the castle. One off each of their classroom offices, one off the side of their main meeting room on the 8th floor, and one that would become her main bedroom in their private wing. The ones in their offices were decorated in the four house colours, the one in the meeting room was done in tasteful creams, and purples, and her main bedroom was being left in a base cream and light grey, until she could help choose how to decorate.

The first few weeks were a fun challenge for all of the Hogwarts staff. Each of the founders took turns taking and keeping Morgana with them during class times and it became a fun game for the students to try and guess which founder had the mysterious child today. The other staff often offered their help when they had free periods so that the other four could teach without distraction.

Before they knew it, two months had passed, and Merlin was finally back, having gone back to 1981 to put all of his things in order so he could stay with Morgana at Hogwarts. He took the job of History of Magic Professor so that he had a valid reason for joining them at the school, and he was promptly added to the students guessing game of 'Wheres the baby today'.

Days passed into weeks, and it was finally July 31st. The founders had been speaking to Merlin and they all agreed that they would be naming Morgana as their Heir, and later blood-adopting her. The way they wanted to set it up, would make Morgana the sole Heir to all of their wealth, properties, and their political power as well, all she would inherit at 17 years of age.

After many discussions, of how to ensure that no matter what descendants they may have, only Morgana could truly claim the titles and everything that came with them; The founder had convinced Merlin to do something he never thought would be needed in his life again. They convinced Merlin to teach them the ritual he had used to bargain with death, and how to alter it to fit their needs.

Rowena made a pact with Lady Fate, she wanted Morgana to have a fated love, one that would be true and stay with her forever.
Helga with Lady Life, she wished to ensure that even if Morgana's life had hard times, that she was surrounded by people that cared for her.
Godric's pact was with Lord Time, making the deal to give Morgana as much time as possible to learn, and love with her chosen family.
And Salazar made a deal with Mother Magick herself. He had only wished to make it possible for Morgana to develop her core to its highest level, Mother agreed, however she tweaked the bargain slightly. Her son Mortim had already granted Merlin the ability to give his successor (Morgana) his own core on-top of their own. So why not make it bigger still?

Each of Mother's children agreed as well. So they all gathered together to adjust Morgana's core while adding in their own gifts too. In essence, making Morgana not only the most powerful Witch/Sorceress in all of time, but the Mistress of all of them as well not just Mortim; as he had already chosen her to inherit his Hallows and become his Mistress, having his siblings to help not only stabilize her abilities, but guide her along as well? It was better than he could ask for.

So every deity came forth and bound themselves to a single child.
-Mistress of Death (Mortim); Necromancy, Spirit calling, the Language of the Dead, and chosen immortality for herself and those that she wished to keep by her (They would need to agree as well)
-Mistress of Life (Eve); Communication with all living creatures, the ability to gift life (only to those worthy, would have to discuss with Eve herself) and natural healing abilities for both herself and for others she chose to share it with.
-Mistress of Time (Zaman); Time-shifting up to 3 days at a time (Almost time traveling, but more like a time-turner where you leave the past version of yourself, but only along your own timeline), the ability to freeze time for up to an hour at a day, and access to time dust to call forth extinct fauna or flora (Creatures or plants) both Magical and Muggle
-Mistress of Fate (Maeve); the ability to to know someone's fate, The chance to alter said fate minutely to try and save them, and the chance to help choose fated loves for others. (She gets no say in her own, because where's the fun in that?)
And finally, Mother Magick named Morgana her chosen champion, to protect the balance of magic, and sealed the founder's wills of her being their sole heir, no matter what descendants they may have.

The founders and Merlin remained blissfully ignorant of just how powerful their heir and successor would become. Going through each day as it came, Morgana's first couple of years with the founders were by far their most peaceful. It wasn't until age 5 that they began to notice something off with the poor child. Pleading with Merlin to take little Morgana to the Goblins with them, the founders were determined to find out what was wrong.
