Morgana and Anthony worked quietly in Morgana's room, meticulously packing the last of their things for school. The room had become a blend of ancient and modern, with relics and mementos from her childhood with the founders mingling seamlessly with contemporary wizarding artifacts. Her shelves were carefully lined with ancient tomes and contemporary spell books. Morgana moved with a practiced grace, her wand flicking with precision as she shrunk and tucked her old trunks away into her new one. The first trunk, filled with her clothes and an impressive array of weapons from the founders, vanished with a wave of her wand. Each item had its place, organized and ready for any situation, from training with swords to practicing archery.
The second trunk was the gift from Helga, the five-compartment 'first aid kit' unlike any other. It held a fully equipped medical examination room, chock-full of every healing herb imaginable, complete with a wide variety of healing potions, enchanted bandages, and diagnostic tools. Morgana had painstakingly organized this trunk over and over again, knowing its importance for both her and Anthony during their time at Hogwarts. The trunk glowed softly with protective enchantments, ensuring its contents remained pristine.
Her new school trunk, a masterpiece she had commissioned from Diagon Alley, stood open and waiting. It was a five-compartment marvel, each section tailored to her unique needs. Morgana had filled the personal expandable library with all of her treasured books, each one carefully selected for its importance, because she just couldn't bear to leave them behind. The shelves stretched into what seemed like endless corridors of knowledge, each book neatly categorized by subject and author. The mini greenhouse was stocked with delicate herbs, meticulously planted in enchanted soil that ensured optimal growth. Tiny enchantments controlled the light and humidity, creating the perfect environment for each plant.
The small potions lab was organized with carefully labeled vials and ingredients, each one a testament to the skills and knowledge she had cultivated with Sal. Shelves lined with jars of powdered unicorn horn, bezoar stones, and various roots and petals stood ready for use. The two full storage units followed. One was crammed with parchment, each roll precisely cut and stacked, along with quills and ink in various colors. The other was a secure vault for the founders' portraits and the precious letters from the LeFey vault. It now also held her clothes and other necessary first-year supplies, all neatly packed and ready for use, as well as her first two trunks.
The final compartment was a magical vivarium, charmed to match the actual weather each day and to run on a normal day-to-day cycle. It featured a lush haven of forest, with towering trees and shaded glades where dappled sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating serene spots of tranquility. Plains with rolling grasses and wildflowers swayed gently in an enchanted breeze, and a serene lake with crystal-clear water reflected the sky like a mirror. The vivarium was perfect for both Mordred and Merlin when they needed solitude, her as well. It would also serve as a training ground for Anthony's Animagus transformation training, offering him a diverse environment to hopefully accomplish and then practice his newfound skills afterwards.
Morgana had the trunk secured with anti-theft charms, feather-light spells, and the best security wards available. An alarm charm would alert her to any forced entry attempts, and it was locked with a Parsel password, ensuring only she could open it. The craftsmanship was impeccable, and she felt a sense of pride knowing it was uniquely hers.
Anthony, his own packing complete, watched her with quiet admiration as she glided about her room. His room had been a whirlwind of activity earlier, with clothes, books, and personal items flying into his trunk under his meticulous supervision. Now, he stood by the door, his eyes following Morgana's every move. Merlin, in his feline disguise, sat comfortably in his carrier, his eyes half-closed but alert. Mordred, the tribrid snake, was draped around Morgana's shoulders, his tongue flicking lazily as he enjoyed the warmth of her body. Hedwig and Hera, their faithful owls, had already flown ahead to Hogwarts, their cages shrunk and carefully tucked away in Anthony's trunk.
