Age 9:
As the year passed Morgana had grown stronger. As the days turned into weeks, Morgana devoted herself to bonding with her new Familiar. Mordred was a constant companion as he grew and developed with her, granting her a friend in all manner of adventures and learning curves. He was always present with sound advice and supportive words.
Morganas hair had also continued to grow and now was half-way down her calves. It was on her 10th birthday though, that everything changed again–On her tenth birthday, the grand hall of Hogwarts was resplendent in celebration. Banners of green and silver, warm gold and yellow, bronze and navy blue, and black adorned the walls. Candlelight flickered, casting a warm, magical glow over the ancient stone, highlighting the intricate runes and sigils carved into the walls. The long table was laden with a feast, and the air was filled with the scents of rich foods and the soft hum of conversation.
Morgana sat at the head of the table, her heart pounding with anticipation. Around her were the Founders and Merlin, their faces filled with affection and pride.
Merlin stepped forward, his voice warm and reassuring. "Morgana, over these years that we have raised and taught you, you have become more than just a student to us. We wish to formally add you to our families, to make you our official daughter through Blood-Adoption, if you'll accept."
Ric, his eyes shining with pride, added, "We have already long since named you our official Heir for all of our legacies. This ritual will simply give you a stronger claim to what is already yours by right."
Helga, with her voice kind and nurturing, said, "You have shown incredible compassion and strength, Morgana. We are so proud of the witch you have become."
Row, her gaze filled with wisdom and affection, added, "Your thirst for knowledge and your keen mind have impressed us all many times, over and over repeatedly. I for one, would honored to call you our daughter."
Salazar Slytherin, his usually stern expression softened, spoke with uncharacteristic warmth. "Your cunning and determination has grown over the years, and has proven that you are a natural Slytherin, born or not. I am proud to have the chance to claim you as my own, Little Serpent."
Morgana felt a rush of emotions—honor, joy, and a twinge of insecurity. She looked around at the faces of those she had come to love deeply, but her thoughts drifted to her twin brother, Anthony. 'How would he react when I return to the future? Would he still recognize me?'
•Your heart is troubled, Morgana,• came the familiar hiss of Mordred in her mind. Her precious snake familiar was coiled tightly around her shoulders, his golden eyes filled with empathy. •You fear you are not worthy, but you are stronger and more deserving than you realize.•
Morgana nodded slightly, acknowledging Mordred's wisdom. "It's just... Anthony. We were so close as infants. Now, with everything that's happened, I'm not sure how this will affect our relationship. Will we ever be that close again?"
Rowena placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Family bonds are resilient, Morgana. Anthony will understand, given time, but you have to be honest with him when the time is right. Secrets will do you no favours."
Helga's soothing voice added, "We will always support you, no matter what time you're in. This is your home now, and we are your family. Always dearest."
Salazar, his expression thoughtful, said, "Blood-Adoption is powerful magic. It will bind us together in ways that mere words cannot. It doesn't change who you are, Little Serpent, merely gives you more parents and people who support you."
Merlin stepped closer, his eyes shining with pride. "Morgana, as your sou-brother for both your lives, I have watched you grow with great pride. You have come so far since your rebirth, and it is a gift to stand by your side again. I am so proud of all of your growth, sharing this with you, it would be an honor."
