Upon reaching Flourish and Blotts, they saw their father, Lily, and the Weasleys. The bustling bookshop was filled with the scent of parchment and the quiet rustle of pages being turned. James Potter stood near a display of spell books, his eyes slightly glazed. Morgana noticed the change in his behaviour, immediately. He had been so open and fun on their way here.Morgana knew it was a sign of him being controlled and manipulated - though she only had suspicions about Dumbledore; she couldn't say for sure that her mother wasn't also involved. Lily, with a seemingly warm smile, waved them over.
"Ah, there you are!" Lily's voice carried a false cheeriness that made Morgana's skin crawl. She had known that she would need to be increasingly wary of her mother's overly affectionate demeanor, knowing the truth that lay beneath it: Lily's indifference to Morgana being sent away and how little she truly cared about her.
The Weasley family stood beside her parents, each member reacting to Morgana's presence in different ways.
Ronald, with his bright red hair and freckled face, stared at her with a mixture of awe and something that made her deeply uncomfortable. His eyes roamed over her figure, his gaze lingering too long on her face and form. Morgana could feel his leering eyes following her every move.
"Hi, I'm Ron," he said, puffing out his chest as if trying to appear more impressive. "You must be Morgana. I've heard a lot about you."
Morgana forced a polite smile, but inwardly she recoiled. She could sense his overconfidence, the unspoken assumption that she was somehow destined for him. His attitude was disconcerting, and she hoped to avoid him as much as possible. His smug expression, as if he believed she had no choice but to be interested in him, only made matters worse. It was clear he had no idea about the supposed marriage contract being void, a fact that made his behavior all the more insufferable.
Ginny Weasley, standing slightly behind Ron, shot Morgana a look filled with instant jealousy. She crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing as she noticed Anthony paying her no mind. Ginny had always tried flirting with Anthony, always trying to get him alone to dose him with a love potion with the help of their two mothers. No one else but Lily and Molly knew about these attempts, and Anthony had never shown any interest in her beyond viewing her as his two best friends' younger sister. The tension between them was palpable, a silent competition for attention and admiration.
Percy, on the other hand, seemed embarrassed by his younger siblings' behavior. He stepped forward, adjusting his glasses nervously. "Welcome, Morgana," he said, his tone more formal and respectful. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Thank you, Percy," Morgana replied, appreciating his attempt to make a better first impression. Percy’s eyes flickered between Ron and Ginny, his discomfort evident. Morgana found his polite demeanor a refreshing change from Ron's arrogance and Ginny's jealousy.
Fred and George, the mischievous twins, were immediately drawn to Morgana's easy-going aura. They exchanged glances and grinned, sensing a kindred spirit.
"Morgana, right?" Fred asked. "Might you enjoy a good prank?"
"Indeed," she replied, a genuine smile breaking through her earlier discomfort. "I might know a trick or two."
Anthony and the twins instantly started joking and goofing off, their laughter ringing through the shop as they exchanged stories and ideas for future mischief. They were already Anthony's best-mates, and he was chuffed to see them take such an instant liking to Morgana. She felt a sense of relief, knowing she had found allies in the twins.
Arthur Weasley, ever the enthusiast of all things Muggle, approached Morgana with a barrage of inquiries. "Tell me, Morgana, is it true that Muggles use something called a 'Telly-vison' to watch moving pictures?"
