The sun streamed through the high windows of the Great Hall, casting golden patterns on the stone floor as students finished their breakfast and started to disperse. Morgana and Anthony stood near the entrance, their faces set with determination. After a brief, intense conversation over their plans, they parted ways for a moment.
"Morgana, are you sure you're ready for this?" Anthony asked, his voice low but urgent.
Morgana nodded, her eyes hardening with resolve. "We can't keep this from them any longer, Anthony. They deserve to know the truth."
Anthony placed a hand on her shoulder, squeezing gently. "I know. I'm with you, every step of the way."
Morgana hurried to her new private room, her heart pounding. She retrieved the inheritance test from a drawer, the parchment feeling heavier than it should in her hands. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for the conversation ahead. Morgana knew it was necessary, but that didn’t make it any easier.
Rejoining Anthony outside the Great Hall, she felt a wave of reassurance as her twin gave her a confident nod. You’re not alone in this, his eyes seemed to say. As they made their way to the fourth floor, Anthony kept close, his shoulder brushing against hers in silent support.
'You’re stronger than you think,' he communicated mentally, sending a rush of warmth through their bond. Morgana straightened, gripping the inheritance test tighter.
They reached the door to Sirius and Remus' quarters. Morgana hesitated for a moment before Anthony squeezed her hand gently. Gathering her courage, she knocked on the door. A few moments later, it swung open to reveal Remus, his face lighting up with pleasant surprise.
“Morgana! Anthony!” Remus exclaimed, his eyes twinkling with warmth. “What a wonderful surprise. Come in, come in.”
Morgana felt a flood of relief at Remus’s welcoming demeanor. She glanced at Anthony, who gave her another reassuring nod before they stepped inside. The quarters were cozy, filled with the scent of fresh coffee and a hint of parchment.
Sirius looked up from a pile of papers at a desk by the window, his face breaking into a wide grin. “Look who decided to visit us! What brings my favorite pups here on this fine morning?”
Morgana swallowed hard, feeling the weight of the parchment in her hand. “We need to talk to you both. It’s important.”
The light-hearted atmosphere shifted as Sirius and Remus exchanged a serious glance. Remus gestured towards the sofa. “Sit down, tell us what’s going on.”
Anthony squeezed her hand again before they both took a seat. Morgana took a deep breath, her mind whirling as she tried to find the right words. Anthony’s presence beside her was a steadying force, and she leaned into it, drawing strength from their bond.
“I... I have something to tell you, and to show you,” she began, holding out the inheritance test. “It’s about our family, about what really happened, all those years ago.”
Sirius and Remus leaned forward, their expressions a mix of curiosity and concern. Morgana unfolded the parchment, her hands trembling slightly, and began to explain everything.
“Sirius, do you remember me telling you about my memory?” she asked, glancing at him.
Sirius nodded slowly, a look of concern crossing his face. “Yes, you mentioned it was... different.”
Morgana turned to Remus, her gaze steady. “I have an eidetic memory, perfect recall. I can remember everything, every detail. The reason I bring this up is because I remember that Samhain night, the night our parents were attacked.”
