27 . Darkness within

Jeongin was sitting by Minho holding a cold washcloth wiping his face as a fever has spiked and Jeongin feared it will worsen Minho's chances of waking up.

He knows theoretically how to wake someone from a coma or a state of unconsciousness, but this isn't Minho's case. Yea he is unconscious but he knows it's not like that. Minho was physically unconscious but his soul was somewhere else conscious and aware of everything, that's why it's risky.

Jeongin wiped the sweat of Minho's forehead smiling weakly
"I told you it's a bad idea but you had to be a stubborn idiot." Jeongin sighed combing through his hair "I had a feeling you would do something so stupid like that. I won't get angry till you wake up so I can scream at you as much as I want."
Another sigh and Jeongin stopped wiping his face and just looked at Minho's face pale as ghost "I will wake you.. you hear me.. I'm not yet strong to do that but I will... just hold on okay. I will find a way"

Jeongin got up and saw Felix sitting cuddled up on himself in a chair next to him, he looked worried and tired. He doesn't know him but he can easily tell how Felix is genuinely worried and upset with everything around him, he has a soft soul, Jeongin hasn't met anyone like that since little Hyunjin.

"You and Hyunjin would make great friends."
Felix snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Jeongin confused
"We do?"
Jeongin nodded
"If you met before all this.. I'm pretty sure you would be besties."
Jeongin laughed and it came out pained that got Felix to get up and sit beside Jeongin worried and feeling so helpless
"I bet we can too be friends."
Felix said jokingly trying to ease Jeongin's mind, but he just nodded and held out his hand to Felix, Felix looked at it and then slowly put his hand in Jeongin's
"You are a really kind and a soft soul Felix. I'm happy you were here for Hyunjin and Minho."
Felix was confused by what Jeongin meant till he started to feel a numbness moving from his hand carefully filling him.. Felix took a deep breath realizing it wasn't numbness, it was calmness that started to fill him, like his body was relaxing from stress and his muscles were loosing up from tension he didn't know he was holding on.

Felix felt calm and relaxed despite everything, he didn't know if that was okay to feel that way, but he didn't seem to mind or care in a peaceful manner. He looked at Minho and then at Jeongin.
"You..?!"
"Stop worrying it's affecting you in a deeper way than you can imagine, it's weighing hard on your soul... stop worrying."
Jeongin spoke softly still holding on Felix's hand healing his troubled heart, Felix felt it through his body and soul and wished he can make everyone feel that way too.
"You worry about everyone and forget yourself."
Jeongin said as if he can read through Felix's mind
"Don't worry.. It will be okay."
Felix would have believed Jeongin's words if it weren't for the tears that seemed to fall on his face not able to stop but Jeongin was still smiling despite these fallen tears and repeated with a deep sigh
"It will be okay."
Felix nodded not wanting to argue or talk with how peaceful it was in his mind and for a moment he believed that everything will be okay... He can only hope.

To think that Hyunjin is to be the reason for Minho's death, is a far fetched thought which somehow came true, but Jeongin knew better than that, but he wasn't going to ask or point blame. Now he can only focus on Minho, he has to wake up, only then, he can point the blame and deal with everyone involved.

Jeongin got up letting go of Felix's hand
"Can you stay with him? In case anything happens."
Felix nodded smiling
"Sure.. I'm not leaving his side."
Jeongin nodded and walked to the kitchen area, where Seungmin was still unconscious and being watched by Changbin
"Hey... how is he?"
Changbin asked once he saw Jeongin getting closer, they were all whispering around the cabin, it's like they were afraid any loud voice might trigger something they feared
"His fever is stable... that's something I can manage and that's a good thing I guess."
Changbin nodded and looked back at Seungmin
"And him?"
Jeongin examined Seungmin and then took a seat beside Changbin
"He's okay.. Hyunjin really hit him hard, it would have killed him if I hadn't interrupted it"
"I wish it did."
Jeongin looked at changbin annoyed but said nothing, he can understand... all of them are wishing that, even Hyunjin himself but Jeongin can't get himself to be like them. He needs to talk to his friend first and understand why... why hurt Hyunjin and Minho like that?
