Johnny had tried to get your daughter, Poppy, to fall asleep, but she just wouldn't.
So Johnny scooped his baby into his arms and walked out of the nursery.
He walked through the halls, explaining all the pictures hanging up, telling the stories that each one held.
"This is the day I met mommy. The same day I knew I wanted to spend forever with her,"
Johnny cooed softly to the bundle of joy in his arms.
He stared lovingly at the picture of the two of you.
You guys were so young, no older than thirteen at the time.
But Johnny knew he loved you then.
He moved into the living room, slowly, trying not to move Poppy too much.
He sat on the couch and cuddled his daughter close.
Johnny watched as her breathing evened out,
"babe, what are you doing?" you mumbled softly, standing in the threshold of the living room.
"I was telling her how we fell in love, but she fell asleep,"
Johnny answered softly.
You smiled at your husband and walked over to him.
You pressed a soft kiss to Johnny's lips.
You softly grabbed Poppy from Johnny's hands.
He stood up and followed behind you to the nursery.
He watched as you kissed your daughter's head softly.
You placed her in her crib and walked over to Johnny.
"I love you," you mumbled, wrapping your arms around his waist and placing your head on Johnny's chest. His arms are laced around you back.
I love you," he whispered back. The two of you stood there for a while, watching over your sleeping child.
