summary:  Y/N Just moved to LA and is working for Big Brother magazine, she'd been an editor for a long time but Tremaine wants her to work on their new "Big Idea" and she finally agrees. In the process Johnny Knoxville makes himself known and becomes her biggest annoyance since moving, nothing could prepare her for what's to come.

After a week of moving into your new apartment you finished unpacking and putting everything away, everything clean and tidy where it should be apart from the takeout that's been building up since the first night you slept here.

Looking at the pile on your kitchen counter you quickly get rid of its remnants and finally sink into your couch deciding now's the time to relax and listen to music, grabbing the remote to your stereo you turn it on, and James Reyne softly plays through speakers as you lay back listening to every word and in your own little world.

Suddenly you're brought out of your own little world to the sound of knocking at your apartment door, confused on who it could possibly be seen as though nobody knew your address apart from Jeff because of obvious reasons you work for the guy. You get up and regardless of who it could be and walk to the door whilst the knocking continues, you open the door to an unexpected Johnny Knoxville,

groaning in response to the familiar face you question why he's here no doubt to annoy you which he's already achieved within a minute of standing across from you.

Whilst moving into your apartment you'd gone to work and every time without fail Knoxville would be there to annoy or tease you about anything just to get under your skin and say something back which you did because who wouldn't?

You met Knox about a year ago he'd done the article about self-defense and you found it amusing so through Jeff you got to meet him and since then you had been friends seeing him time to time whenever Big Brother would need you physically there but just this week he chose to be an annoyance whenever you'd be around maybe it's an LA welcome but you weren't too fond of it

"Yes Knoxville how may I help you?" you roll your eyes and look at him unimpressed, he stares at you with a grin and lets himself in without any notice "Uhm excuse you, you didn't even answer my question."

"Sorry sweetheart but I thought to check out the place since you haven't invited a single one of us over" he said with sass looking around the place eyes landing on your cd & vinyl collection immediately making his way over, rolling your eyes at the pet name he's used since meeting you shut the door and walk over not far behind him watching him go through a couple of CDs before standing from where he was crouched

"You've got some really good stuff never thought you'd be the type to listen to The Beastie Boys, a shocker really" he says with a shocked and exaggerated look before sitting on your couch and making himself comfortable. "Yeah, well expect the unexpected" he chuckles as you sit down on the other side of the couch you notice he's still looking around the place wondering what he's thinking.

"Can't believe you haven't thrown a party here yet not invited anyone over this place isn't half bad" he says after a beat staring at you "Well it's taken me a week to get everything sorted and I don't exactly want this place trashed unlike Steve-O's place" you stare right back at him, and he nods in agreement.

"Yeah Steve-O's place is an absolute nightmare but always a fun time" with a smug grin knowing that someone always ends up getting hurt by the end of the night, I mean would it really be a Steve-O house party if someone didn't?

"Always good fun anyway, how'd you get my address and what could you possibly want?" you said with annoyance due to the fact your well-deserved James Reyne session has been rudely interrupted "Jeff gave it to me sweetheart thought it was wise someone check up on you and I don't want anything I'm simply here as company" He makes himself more comfortable on the couch with his dirty converse now on your clean coffee table after finishing the sentence.

Of course, Jeff gave him your address the ass, out of all people Knoxville would be the one to pay a visit as if his teasing wasn't enough at work but now his annoying self in your own domain

"Ah yes of course cause I totally need a babysitter, would you like me to pay you by the hour or minute because you are really cutting into my James Reyne listening sesh" This gets a good laugh out of him knowing you teasing him back means you really don't mind his company "James Reyne wow once again I would never guess,

his first album is one of my favorites and paying me won't be a problem I'm here for free sweetheart" with a wink of his words you instinctively roll your eyes a common thing when your around Johnny if that wasn't obvious enough "Yeah right looks like I'm full of surprises to you, gotta keep em guessing" he finds your teasing incredibly funny and smiles your way

After chatting for a bit you offer him a drink and he agrees moving to the kitchen to continue the conversation being nothing out of the ordinary apart from the occasional flirting he attempts but is unsuccessful knowing his charm doesn't quite work on you so it's more playful flirting than anything else,

looking at the clock in your kitchen you notice it's getting late and your yet to shower knowing you have to get up early tomorrow morning but when you look back Johnny's eyes are fixed on you as if he were to blink and you'd disappear.

"Knox, are you there hello? Did you get anything I just said?" suddenly snapping out of whatever trance he was in he replies with a "Sorry what did you say sweetheart?" you repeat what you had said previously "I hate to rudely kick you out but it's getting late and I gotta shower" he nods eyes still wandering over you whilst he gets up from the bar stool he was comfortably sat on.

Putting the glasses in the sink to later be cleaned you follow him to the door.

he's looking down at you with the same gaze he had prior like something had clicked in his brain.

"Thanks for coming over though the invite was never there" you say with some sass and he's quick to respond, "It was really a pleasure Y/N but a man shouldn't leave without a goodbye kiss for his great efforts."

Thinking to yourself that you wouldn't really call them "Great efforts" more along the lines of annoyed efforts regardless of you give him a peck on the cheek out of kindness whilst trying to keep your distance knowing if you get any closer,

he'll probably kiss you on the lips, pulling away you roll your eyes, and he gives you a quick wink before leaving and shutting the door.

You stand there for a minute confused on why he was staring at you for so long but before you can think about it too long you turn off your stereo and head to the bathroom down the hall. After a quick shower but getting clean enough to not have Knoxville residue still on your skin you make your way to your bedroom changing into a pair of PJ shorts and a tank and you fall back onto your bed sinking into the soft plush sheets and begin to ponder about what was on Johnny's mind and why he looked at you so tentatively deciding it was just meaningless

Not another thought passes by apart from the time being 12 am and that work starts at 7 groaning you try your best to fall asleep with Johnny.
