"So... what do you think is the difference between the communication in business and art?" Sierra asked while biting the cap of her pen.

My eyes furrowed as I thought of ideas to answer her question. We were currently at the living hall at her house for the second time because Sierra had initiated that we finish our report for communication. It was the only minor subject we shared, and luckily, we were picked to be partners for this report.

Well, nakiusap talaga si Sierra sa professor namin para lang maging partner kami sa report na 'to. And knowing that her father is the owner of the school, her request granted.

Sierra was sad at that time, and I comforted her until she felt better. She eventually realized that it was for the best.

"Well," I began, trying to gather my thoughts, "the primary difference between communication in business and art lies in their purpose and style. Business communication aims to inform, persuade, and achieve specific goals. It's usually clear, direct, and formal. In contrast, art communication focuses on expressing ideas, emotions, and concepts. It's often abstract, open to interpretation, and relies heavily on creativity and aesthetics."

Sierra nodded thoughtfully, twirling the pen in her fingers. "So, business communication is more about efficiency and clarity, while art communication is more about expression and impact?"

"Exactly," I replied. "In business, the goal is often to ensure that everyone understands the same message in the same way. But in art, the goal is to evoke different thoughts and feelings from different people. It's about creating an experience rather than just conveying information."

"That makes a lot of sense. Ang galing mong mag-explain. Better than my teachers back on states."

"No problem," I said and let out a small laugh at what she said. "Let's make sure to include these points in our report. It's important to highlight the distinct roles that communication plays in different fields."

As we continued discussing and writing, the clock kept ticking, and eventually, we felt hungry.

Sierra returned with a tray of food, her face lighting up with a smile. "I hope you like lasagna. It's my Lola's recipe, but I made it myself."

"Ang bango naman," I commented as my stomach growling in anticipation.

"Thanks for staying late to work on this," Sierra said between bites. "I know it's a lot, but I really want to do well on this report."

"I don't mind at all," I replied.

"Kuya? Are you drunk again?" she said in a concern tone as she stood up to walked towards the person on my back.
