I was staring at the blue tulips in the vase in my room, my mind reeling as the hours passed. I had no intention of accepting them, but after he made that startling confession, telling me he wanted to court me, I found myself unable to move. It felt like time had stopped.

The next thing I knew, the tulips were in my hands, and he was already driving away from me.

The way back home was a blur, my thoughts were heavy with confusion and disbelief. I replayed the encounter over and over in my mind, struggling to make sense of it.

It's too overwhelming for me. The same Zeus who had been openly homophobic and derogatory towards me, who had treated me with such disdain for my identity and existence.

The same person who had never missed an opportunity to belittle or insult me. And now, suddenly, he wanted to court me?

Pakiramdam ko ang pangyayari ay panaginip lamang. Or maybe, I'm under of some spell or hallucinations.

My trance was broken by a knock on my room door and the sound of Mama calling my name. The familiar tone of his voice, filled with concern, pierced through my daze and jolted me back to reality.

I quickly stood up and opened the door to find Mama standing there, his blue orbs are filled with worry. "Are you okay? I've been calling you for a while," he said softly, his hand reaching up to caress my cheek as if to reassure himself that I was okay.

I grasped his hand, feeling a wave of guilt wash over me. Hiyang-hiya dahil hindi ko narinig ang katok niya dahil sa pagtitig ko sa bulaklak na binigay ni Zeus.

I gave him a reassuring smile. "I'm okay, Mama. I'm really sorry I didn't hear your knock."

His face softened, and he responded with a smile. "Let's eat dinner. Your Papa is waiting downstairs," he said, his voice filled with a mixture of relief and warmth as he turned to head towards the stairs.

I followed him down to the dining table, where Papa sat patiently waiting for us. As I entered the room, I noticed the sparkle in Papa's eyes when he saw Mama. It was a look that spoke of a love that had not only endured but deepened over the years.

After all these years together, the bond between Papa and Mama was as strong as ever. Their love had not faded, instead, it had intensified, growing richer with each passing year.

"Good evening, Pa," I greeted him, leaning in to kiss his cheek before taking my seat across from them.

"How's school, Grey?" he asked, looking up from his meal with genuine interest.

His face is adorned with a silver stubble that adds a touch of ruggedness to his handsome appearance.

" I'm having fun, Dad. I've made some friends at school too," I said, a smile spreading across my face. Bigla kong naalala na kailangan ko pala silang kausapin tungkol sa pagta-transfer ko.

"That's good to hear. I'd love to meet your friends sometime," he replied, and I felt a warm glow in my chest at his genuine interest.

"On my birthday, I'll definitely introduce them," I promised cheerfully.

"Your mother mentioned that you're friends with Sierra, Gaze's daughter?" tanong niya ulit

Tumango ako.

"That's wonderful. And what about Zeus? You should try to be friends with him too. He's a great kid and already quite adept at handling business. You could learn a lot from him," Papa said, his tone thoughtful and encouraging.

I stopped eating, my fork suspended in mid-air as my mind whirled with thoughts. I found myself at a loss for words. Mukhang napansin niya iyon dahil napansin ko ang pagkunot ng noo niya.
