Zakynthos was beautiful.

They had a small stunning villa that opened out onto the soft sand beach of the Ionian Sea; one bedroom, one bathroom and nothing else but the kettle and packets of coffee and tea in the far corner.

The simplicity mixed with luxury was perfection.

The bed was also extremely inviting after their flight; large, comfortable and once again with a perfect view of the ocean ahead of them.

The slept very well that night, practically the moment their heads hit the pillows.

And they woke with the same happily lazy feeling in their bodies, deciding to go out onto the sand and sunbathe to relax before their very active day ahead.

Kaia brought her famous deck of cards with her and asked if they could play golf, which she then had to explain the rules of to Mapi who was up for 'thrashing her' at it.

Unfortunately for the Spaniard who couldn't really grasp what she was supposed to do, Kaia won the casual game just as they finished their breakfast.

"What time is it?" Kaia asks while reaching for Mapi's cap in the sand to put on, mainly to get her humid hair out of her face.

"It is..." Mapi pauses to check her phone. "9:13. Shall we go back and get ready for the water?"

"Yeah, we probably should." Kaia agrees, but she makes no move to actually move. In fact she leans back on her hands and faces up to the sun.

"Humidity getting you down?" Mapi teases.

Kaia's head drops to look back at the blonde. "Humidity is getting me up more like; my hair that is." She shakes her head while Mapi laughs at her reply. "I'm getting it treated, screw it." She decides.

"Oh." Mapi responds in pleasant surprise. "Today? Before the-"

Kaia shakes her head which stops Mapi's question. "No, I'll try to find somewhere this afternoon or maybe tomorrow." She says, reaching for her phone to find places but her thumb freezes and she sucks in a shocked breath. "Baby, Carlos has sent some of the photos."

"From the wedding?" Mapi asks in surprise, lifting herself over their things to join Kaia's side.

"From the ceremony and just before it." Kaia elaborates, her voice suddenly far off as she relives all the emotions that day brought. And the moment she clicks the first photo she feels the tears. "Oh wow... look at your dress. You look so beautiful."

Mapi's eyes flicker over to Kaia's face, still bewildered by how much love and awe Kaia compliments her with. "Bebé, look at you." She replies, taking the phone gently to zoom in on Kaia.

It was their first touch picture, the one of them hidden behind the sides of the castle from each other but with their pinkies intertwined and massive smiles on their faces.

"I can't believe you're my wife." Mapi mumbles with a soft smile, looking from the gorgeous picture of Kaia and into Kaia's gorgeous green eyes. "I can't believe I get to wake up to you for the rest of my life, you."

"Baby." Kaia breaths out with a shaky smile, her hand wrapped around the back of Mapi's neck and gently scratching at the roots of her flyaways. "I can't believe I found someone so beautiful inside and out." She whispers back. "Someone I know will love me unconditionally and support me in everything."

"Look at us," Mapi chuckles, both of them with slow and happy tears rolling down their cheeks as they rest their heads together. "One picture in and we're already a mess."
