240. Olympian

The Spanish team arrived at the stadium early to soak it all in, their families still having access to the halls and certain rooms since it was so early in the buildup.

Fabian was still awake and took in all the bright colours of the halls from Mapi's arms while she could still be with him and show him things.

Yet eventually Mapi passed Fabian over to Kaia, but that was only when they reached the end of the tunnel so she could take a picture of them. "Bebé, face the pitch."

Kaia takes a glance behind her, seeing Mapi's phone aimed their way. So she faces the pitch a little side on so she can still support Fabian in her right arm, making sure the back of both of their Spanish shirts are visible to Mapi.

Mapi takes many pictures and then immediately looks through them all with a grin. María León 16 right next to Mamá 16; her two biggest fans here for her. "I can't wait to get out there!" She practically squeals, rushing closer to plant a surprise kiss under Fabian's chin which makes him giggle and swat at her cheek. 

"I can't wait to see you out there." Kaia smiles lovingly, giving Mapi's arm a gentle squeeze while they're so close. "I should go find our seats, give that shirt to Aurelio before you're out for the warmups."

"Jenni will be looking for it." Mapi rolls her eyes playfully. "I swear she is in love already." She holds her hands in defence while backing away. "I love you both." She blows them an exaggerated kiss.

"We love you too." Kaia chuckles, taking Fabian's hand with her finger to give a little wave because she knows Mapi loves it.

With the excitement and energy an opening Spain game will bring, it was only practical to get a box where there was a comfortable room behind to get away from all the noise.

Fabian will need his scheduled hour nap at halftime, that's if he doesn't refuse to sleep because he wants to be with everyone.

That was the biggest problem they faced when it came to him, he had incredible FOMO but cried when he got overtired, still refusing to sleep so he doesn't miss anything.

It's a downwards spiral that causes a lot of headaches for her and Mapi.

Kaia was hoping a quiet and cozy room with only the football noise coming from the low volume TV would make him settle down.

She met Pilar and Javier in the private room and happily handed over Fabian to her mother-in-law while she went outside to greet her friends.

Lucy and Emilia were both wearing their girlfriend's Spain home shirts, leaving Leah being the only one not proudly in La Roja colours.

Kaia took her seat at Emilia's side, accepting the party blower handed to her. Then when she saw Emilia reach for a pair of blackout glasses with España over the lenses and put them on, she started recording them and blew the blower out to reveal the Vamos on the rolled top.

They looked like idiots, but they're here to support their idiots.

Then to top it off, Kaia posted it to her story saying 'we're the definition WAG'

Eventually, Bosco and Gia show up and reintroduce themselves to Mapi's parents as Aurelio politely demands to hold Fabian on his lap inside the private room.

They were getting close to kickoff now, so Kaia went back inside and handed the shirt over to Gia.

The way Gia looked at the brand new shirt, the way she held it in her hands and stared down at J. Hermoso on the back with a smile, it was significant.
