With a full day of training and meetings, a full nights sleep and being fully in sync with her team, Kaia felt good the night before match day.
Everyone gave her and Mapi their congratulations but then it was quickly to business since they could not let their attention falter right now.
They were the European champions and they couldn't not go to Switzerland next year to defend their title. Their pride, public image and world standing was practically all on the line tomorrow night.
So it was heads down until they went to their rooms after dinner.
Kaia happily settled on her bed, flicking through pictures of her and Fabian, Mapi and Fabian and Fabian on his own; all angled to not show his face to the camera.
Since he was over a week old and they couldn't hide him forever, they decided that tonight would be when they announce him to the world.
Spanish players were being questioned by media as to why Mapi went back home, and Kaia knew she'd get the same questions tomorrow as to why she wasn't at the home game.
It would quieten all the speculation; and hopefully the positive news just before such a game can help feed the fans with excitement and motivation to bring to the stadium.
Kaia had five black and white pictures from the photoshoot they did the afternoon Mapi landed, while Mapi had five of her own.
At 8pm on the dot, they both posted their photos along with their own introduction to their followers.
And their phones soon began blowing up.
