223. Santorini To Rhodes

The next morning they were on the absolutely breathtaking island of Santorini, staying in one of those white chalky villa caves carved into the hills with nooks and a pool that wrapped around the living room and into their bedroom.

It was serine, it was romantic, it was the perfect place for Mapi and Kaia to comprehend the news that their baby boy would be here on May 28th if everything goes to plan.

After getting off the phone with Alexia, they weren't surprised to receive a text from Cecilia asking if they could talk as soon as they were available.

So the moment they were back in their villa in Zakynthos, they called Cecilia and spent the next hour packing and speaking through everything to make sure it was all planned out, they were all on the same page with scheduling and also emotionally.

Cecilia then ended the talk confirming she'd take the 9am appointment on May 28th that was available for her to be induced.

But despite Kaia agreeing to speak to Mapi about it the morning after they arrived in Oia, Mapi woke to an empty bed and frustrated muttering bouncing off the bright chalky walls.

It was coming from the open bathroom door, so with a knowing smile Mapi got up and woke herself up a little before grabbing her phone.

The blonde recorded herself as she walked into the bathroom, the echoed complaints amusing her as well as the sight of Kaia with small braids through her hair as she tries to neatly place a Chanel hair scarf over her hair.

"You know it's a hot and humid day when she brings the scarves out." Mapi chuckles as she flips the camera so her followers can see Kaia through the reflection in the large mirror.

Kaia bumps her hip into Mapi's when she joins her side, her hands too busy trying to do a tight knot at the back of her head. "I can't get an appointment 'til eleven." She defends. "Does it look alright?"

Mapi keeps her phone steady while she leans her body back a little to look at Kaia's hair from behind, loving the small braids and the gold cuffs that run through the black hair. "It looks beautiful, a little frizzy at the bottom." She teases right as Kaia finishes her knot which means this time she gets a harsh poke in the stomach that forces her to end the video before she's in a laughing fit.

She quickly posts the video before Kaia can come at her again, locking her phone and making the mood settle to just them again.

"I was going to ask you to help me but you looked so peaceful cuddling that pillow." Kaia chuckles lovingly, kissing Mapi's cheek a few times in good morning. "I also ordered us breakfast, the uh... lover's choice it was called on the menu."

"Mm, very nice." Mapi hums in intrigue while reaching for her toothbrush and toothpaste.

"They said they'd deliver it to the pool at 9am." Kaia carries, choosing to lean against the marble countertop and watch Mapi. "So lather up, belissima. It's going to hit 40 degrees today."

"Oh my god." Mapi groans in dismay. "I'm in the pool all day, it's decided."

Kaia laughs. "Ok... but I do want to go exploring in the town a little." She reminds her. "And tonight when it's a little cooler-"

"-hike the Fira trail." Mapi finishes for her in excitement. "Definitely, we can do all of that."

"And speak about the baby over breakfast?" Kaia adds on more soberly.

"Sí, we need to finalise a name because wow he'll be here soon." Mapi chuckles. "God, when we get back I need to start building things, and you need to empty that corner cupboard in the kitchen so we can use it for his bottles and stuff."
