"...um, so yeah." Mapi concludes her ten minute explanation with a sheepish shrug, which was one way and full of her gushing out all the reasons why they could offer their townhouse to Misa. "She's said that if she can't find somewhere, she's going to stay in Madrid, renew with them and hopefully find a better option in the future. But she really wants Arsenal, she likes what they're building, the fact they reached the final of three competitions last season-"
"-Mm." Kaia hums, that being the only thing she can get in over Mapi nervous rambling.
It's something they need to think about seriously, because Misa can not afford the rent on their townhouse, so they'll either have to let her live there for free (but still paying for utilities), or work out some cheaper contract as she is their friend and this would be a bit of a favour.
But a part of Kaia truly didn't care about the money aspect, they have more than enough, she wanted to do this to help Misa, but to also spite Real Madrid; take away their goalkeeper and possibly their best player.
Petty? Hell yeah. But satisfying if it all works in their favour? Also a massive yes.
"Ok..." Kaia agrees with all of Mapi's thought out and detailed points. "Yeah, we'll speak about it more when we're home, maybe in France too so Misa can be there, but I really like that idea. It's very thoughtful of you, darling." She praises.
"I'm glad you didn't get mad." Mapi admits with a relieved and happy smile. "I was worried I might be overstepping by suggesting it... since you were the one who bought the house to begin with."
"What's mine in yours." Kaia reassures lovingly, but then her voice turns teasingly dry. "Literally, since we signed a contract."
Mapi smiles at that, knowing she doesn't legally own everything of Kaia's 50/50, but sentimentally she does. "Do you want to see our darling angel of a son?"
Almost immediately laughing, Kaia nods. She misses him, and she can tell by Mapi's sarcasm that he hasn't been easy. "Yes please, I've been missing you both so much."
"We've been missing you too, like crazy." Mapi replies, flipping the camera to show Fabian in his travel crib ready for bed, pulling on Eduardo's ears and examining the elephant's face closely. "He literally threw his empty bottle at Athenea's head during dinner." She explains, trying not to laugh when she hears and sees Kaia fighting off a laugh. "She said he aimed for her, I said he's not even two months old and can't do that yet." Now Kaia was laughing, a sound that brought a smile to Mapi's lips. "Anyways, then he decided to explode his nappy on Leila's lap."
"No..." Kaia's mouth opens in shock.
"She didn't get hit, don't worry." Mapi chuckles. "But I had to deal with it halfway through my steak dinner and it made me lose my appetite completely."
"Sounds like he's been a real nightmare." Kaia chuckles, almost guilty of the fact she was peacefully reading in hers and Leah's hotel room before this call.
"He's all well behaved now he hasn't got other people to terrorise." Mapi gestures a hand down to him, still stood at the foot of his crib. "Just us with the room to ourselves."
"Are you lonely without Leila?" Kaia teases sympathetically.
Mapi shrugs, her smile a little defeated and tired as she flips the camera back on herself. "It's only for while he's so young, waking up every few hours for food. Alejandro doesn't want two sleep deprived players on his hands." She explains.
