Guatemala was stunning from the moment they got there: the nature, culture and sights were all one of a kind and breathtaking.
This entire trip was preplanned for them, from the private car that picked them up at the airport to the five star hotel they had a presidential suite in.
A lot of the hotel was sectioned off since the film crew and Bear himself were prepping and staying in the hotel, that gave Kaia and Mapi a lot of breathing room to get settled with Fabian, have dinner and a relaxing evening before Kaia's flying off to the jungle.
Mapi set up Fabian's cot and then a play area on the floor, placing him down and more than happy to see his smile so wide, his energy almost fully back and his little feet kicking back and forth.
He had a very good sleep on the flight over, truly getting used to being in the air and only getting small blips of moodiness when he's tired or hungry.
Hearing his little gurgles and Mapi's laughs in the room was the only thing keeping Kaia's mind sane. She was incredibly excited to go into the jungle with Bear, but she was also incredibly worried about the unknown and how out of her comfort zone this was.
She'd been camping before in a tent with a sleeping bag and warm soup, but that's about as much as she's ventured into wildlife at nighttime.
And the Guatemalan jungle? She didn't even want to think about what kind of animals or critters will be lurking once night falls.
"You..." Mapi places her hand on Kaia's shin, since the brunette was laid flat on her back on the large bed. "Are stressed."
"Mm." Kaia hums in confirmation, but she smiles when she feels thumbs begin to work the sole of her foot. "I'm just overthinking, I'll be fine once I'm with Bear."
"You will." Mapi agrees. "And Fabian and I will have an incredible day of exploring tomorrow, enjoying the sights and smells, keeping his little bucket hat on."
Kaia sits up, keeping her leg straight for the foot massage she still getting. But her eyes were over on Fabian who was trying to reach for his dangling toys. "He seems more himself."
"I think it was just a blip." Mapi says with a mindless smile. "Dallas's heat was way too dry, I am so glad we don't live in that type of climate."
"Just make sure you keep his cream topped up." Kaia reminds Mapi while staring at Fabian's red cheeks.
"I'll set timers to not forget." Mapi assures as she walks back over to their son, lifting him up from his travel bouncer and smiling at his smile. "How about some cuddle time with mami? She's not going to be with us tomorrow."
Kaia smiles when Fabian is gently placed on her chest, snuggling into her because he's never one to refuse the attention and affection from his mothers. "Thank you." She sighs, already feeling her heart calm down.
Mapi smiles, leaning down to kiss Kaia's forehead and then the back of Fabian's head. "Close your eyes and just relax, I'll unpack and get us settled."

Kaia never thought she'd be taking her wedding ring off and handing it back to Mapi. But she'd much prefer this strange situation to losing it in the Guatemalan jungle forever.
She was dressed for the jungle with what Bear's team gave her: combat boots, cargo pants, a tight vest and a loose button up over the top.
Mapi said she looked like the sexier version of Lara Croft, definitely a compliment since she was being put above Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander.
