Chapter 15
Aric POV
Me and Aiden stood in Mom's room, trying to stop her from making us match for the Alpha Convention.
"Come on, Mom! We already look the same. You had your fun doing this when we were kids. We're almost 21," Aiden whined, rolling his eyes.
Mom looked at us with a playful smile, holding up two identical suits. "But you both look so handsome when you match. It's tradition!"
I sighed, trying to reason with her. "Mom, we appreciate it, but we need to show our individuality at the convention. People need to see us as separate leaders."
She pouted a little but then nodded, understanding our point. "Alright, alright. I just can't help it. You boys will always be my little ones."
Aiden grinned, throwing an arm around her shoulders. "We know, Mom. But we need to make our own impressions now."
She smiled and hugged us both. "Okay, I get it. You can choose your own outfits. Just promise me you'll both look sharp."
"We promise," I said, relieved that she understood.
As we left her room, walking down to our old bedroom to get ready, I glanced at Aiden with a mischievous grin. "Maybe we should wear matching suits?" I asked, slightly moving the ones Mom had picked out.
"Come on, you have to be kidding me?" Aiden said, his eyes widening in disbelief.
I chuckled, enjoying the look on his face. "I'm just messing with you. But seriously, we do need to make sure we look the part."
Aiden sighed in relief, shaking his head. "You almost gave me a heart attack. Let's just pick something that shows we're ready to lead."
We rummaged through our closets, picking out suits that matched our individual styles. It was important to strike the right balance between showing our unique personalities and presenting a united front.
I chose a sleek, black suit paired with a black shirt and no tie, giving a modern and confident look. The fitted blazer and tailored pants highlighted my muscular body, while the loafers completed the sharp ensemble.
Aiden picked a stylish navy blue suit paired with a crisp white shirt and white sneakers, giving him a modern, relaxed, yet sharp look. The open collar of the shirt added a casual touch, while the tailored fit of the suit ensured he looked polished and ready to impress.
As we finished getting ready, we headed downstairs, where Mom and Dad were waiting. Mom's eyes shone with pride as she looked us over. "You both look so handsome," she said, hugging us tightly.
"Y'all kind of ended up matching each other," Aura said, studying us with a keen eye. "It's just different colors."
"Then I guess it was meant to be," I said, laughing. Aiden joined in, shaking his head.
"Seems like we can't escape it," he chuckled.
Dad stepped forward, his eyes full of pride and warmth. "I got you boys something. You both deserve it." He reached behind him, grabbing two bags from Alex.
He handed the bags to us, and we exchanged curious glances before opening them. Inside, we found matching black sleek Versace chronograph watches. The watches had a black dial with gold accents, exuding elegance and sophistication.
"Wow, Dad, these are incredible," I said, taking out the watch and fastening it around my wrist.
"Yeah, these are amazing," Aiden added, admiring his own watch.
