Maybe They Were Right

It was the day before school started again and Karina decided to have a maintenance day, getting her nails and toes done and fixing up her lashes. Since she worked with kids she always kept her nails short or just got her real nails painted in fear she would possibly poke or scratch the kids. Karina always played it safe with a Nude Peach color when she didn't know before hand what she wanted. But today she decided to do something different. She decided to do a Short Square Glossy Red French Tip look with a red heart on the ring fingers. She got the same red french tip on her toes too. It took about 3 hours for them to finish and she made her way home.

"Short nails are starting to grow on me... I might stick with this length." She said to herself as she admired her nails. When she got home, she laid on the couch and closed her eyes, but her rest was soon interrupted with a phone call. "Hello?"

"Yo, you want anymore food from the other day? It's still some left if you want it." Chris said.

"No i'm good."

"So yeen like my mama food?" Karina rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Now you know I didn't say that."

"So what you just said?"

"I said I didn't want no more food."

"Same difference." They both laughed. "What you doing?"

"Just came from getting my nails and toes done."

"Let me see." He facetimed her and she answered.

"And you called me weird." She scoffed sarcastically and he ignored her. She showed her hands first and Chris nodded with approval. She then showed her feet and he nodded with approval again. "You like them?"

Chris bit his lip at the sight of his favorite color on her. The glossy red didn't look old lady like, it added to her vibrant energy.

"Hellooo? Do you like them or not?"

"Yea it's cute. That color looks good on you." Karina smiled into the phone.

"Thank you Thank you."

"So why you decided to come for Thanksgiving? I would've thought that you would go home."

"Well my mama and stepdad went on a lil baecation chile. My stepdad talking about 'you niggas annoying so we leaving'." Chris laughed and Karina shook her head.

"Ma and pops was getting they freak on fasho." Karina fake gagged snd Chris laughed loudly again.

"I don't want to think about that so shut up please and thank you." Chris laughed again. "What you do today?"

"Went to the doctor with baby mama."

"Royalty or Aeko mom?"

"Lovely's mom." Karina widened her eyes and smiled.

"Chris?! Your having another baby?! Omg congratulationssssss." Chris smiled big.
