Chris read the message and thought. He didn't mind Karina doing Royalty's hair but he knew Nia would probably be on bull if he told her.
"Ion need to ask her permission for my daughter to get her hair done what the fuck." Chris scrunched up his face and replied to Karina.
We fine with it.

Chris shut his phone off and decided to take a nap since Royalty was still sleep. Karina was at church serving food at her church and put her phone back up. She served at her church every other week and tried to attend service every Sunday but she is always tired from a full day of walk-ins on Saturday.
"Karina, how you doing baby?" Mrs. Rochelle asked her.
"I'm doing good Mrs.Rochelle, how you doing this morning."
"I'm doing good. Hungry." They both laughed and Karina fixed her a nice plate of food. Mrs.Rochelle is the one who invited Karina to this church when she first moved to California and they've been close ever since. She was like her Mother in Christ. "How's teaching going this year?"
"It's going really good."
"And the hair business?"
"It's great. Just got a new client." Mrs.Rochelle looked at Karina and smiled.
"You know I'm proud of you, right?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Well don't forget it! Now i'm finna go buss down this plate. Call me later!" Karina laughed and Mrs.Rochelle walked away. As she continued fixing plates, she saw Quady step into the line and mentally rolled her eyes.
"I can't escape this nigga." She said to herself. He got closer and closer and Karina mentally prepared herself for bull.
"Wassup Karina?" He said with a smile.
"Hey Quady, what you want on your plate?"
"Give me a little bit of everything. I see you can't text nobody back?" Karina looked at him with a straight face
"Ian have nothing to say to your text so I didn't respond." Quady shook his head and took the plate.
"Yea whatever, we'll talk later." Quady looked around and saw Mrs.Rochelle "Hey Mrs.Rochelle!" Karina shook her head and continued serving. After an hour, Karina said her goodbyes to everyone and left the building. As she touched her door handle to her car, she heard Quady calling for her. She turned around and stood there watching Quady hurriedly walk to her car.
"So wassup Karina? You act like you hate me or something."
"I don't hate you Quady."
"So why you dodging me? I mean we were friends once."
"We were but every time you text me it seems intimate. We broke up for a reason."
"So what i'm supposed to say? Hey bestieee let's link!" Karina busted out laughing and Quady smiled. "See, I miss that."
"Can we atleast give each other some space so the romantic aspect can die down? I mean we broke up three months ago you still be pursuing me romantically."
"Fine, but I will be back." Quady opened her door and she got in.
"Yea whatever. Bye!" She buckled up and headed home to prepare for the week.
As she meal prepped and washed clothes, she got a call from Taylor.
"Rinaaa, what you up to girl?"
"Nothin. Meal prepping and washing clothes. Getting ready for this week."
"Ugh I wanna be an adult like you so baddddd." Karina laughed.
"Girl don't even. This not an every week thing I promise."
"Mhmm but girl why you didn't tell me you knew Chris already? Had me introducing y'all wasting my breath." Karina scrunched up her face.
"Taylor I do not know that man for real. Where this coming from cause that was so long ago."
"Well after you left the club he asked how I knew you but I repeated myself and said you were my girl. Why we was at rehearsal like that next day and he asked about you again. I was like damn nigga." They both laughed. "But girl I told him you do my hair and that's when he told me you teach baby Royaltyyyy my niecey poohhhhhh and he said that Royalty absolutely loves you." Karina smiled at the thought of Royalty bragging about her.
"I love Royalty. She's the sweetest ever. Honestly my best student."
"Although I agree, I would like to point out that I just said that Chris asked about you twice." Karina looked side to side trying to connect the pieces but it wasnt clicking.
"...okay" Taylor started to shuffle and mumble.
"Gir- you know what I'm not gon say nothing else." Karina laughed.
"Whattttt. I don't see what's the big deal with someone asking about a person. I mean I do teach his daughter."
"Whatever you say girl. I got to go. I will talk to you later love. Gimme kiss!" They made the kissing noise and hung up the phone.
Karina thought about what Taylor said but really couldn't see what Taylor saw. Taylor knows Chris better than she does but he really could have just been trying to know who his daughter loved so much.
"Whatever chile." Karina shrugged her shoulders and enjoyed the rest of her night.
