Karina had just gotten off of work not long ago and was at home trying to find something to wear. Chris didn't give her much details on the date, he just told her to dress nice but also comfortably. She was excited but a little more nervous today than yesterday. She had no clue what was going to happen on this date.
Chris on the other hand was way more excited today. He had a nice date planned for them and he knew Karina would love it. About a month ago, Chris and Karina were talking about the dates they've been on, good and bad. And Chris noticed that all her good dates were interactive and fun, so he made sure that their date was interactive. He had dropped off Royalty and Aeko at his mama's place already and was back home taking a shower and getting dressed. Chris wore a black shirt, black hat, and some jeans. Not over doing it since the date wasn't too fancy.
Around 6 pm, Chris knocked on Karina's door and she answered. She had on a cute black top, jeans, and white heels.

"Hey Chris! Let me grab my purse from upstairs." Karina said with a smile. She hurried upstairs and grabbed her purse and came back down.
"You ready?" She nodded and they left the house. The two talked about their day and laughed about things they saw on social media recently.
"Sooo where we going?"
"Just sit back. Don't worry about all that." Chris said with a smile. Karina threw her hands up and mocked what he said. He laughed at her and soon they pulled up to a nice building. Chris opened her door and helped her out. When they walked in, Karina smiled brightly.
"Oh my goshhhh!" She clapped her hands and did her happy dance. Chris laughed at her and the chef walked up to them.
"Good evening Mr.Brown! And you must be Ms.Wright?" He said as he stuck his hand out.
"Yes I am. It's so nice to meet you." She grabbed his hand and shook it.
"Call me Chris man." Chris said.
"It's nice to meet you. Chris tells me that this is you guys first date. How we feeling?"
"I feel great." Karina said and Chris smiled at her. He agreed.
"Great! Cause tonight y'all will be cooking the meal that you eat." Karina clapped her hands lightly. "Tonight, I will be assisting you with an appetizer, entree, and side. I will make the dessert. Are you ready?"
"Yes." They both said and followed the chef to the back where the aprons were. Karina put on her apron and Chris tied the back. And when Chris put his on, Karina tied the back of his as well.
Their appetizer was Gruyere and Crab Palmiers. The chef had everything already prepped so it took about 20 minutes to cook. Karina was washing her hands and trying to move her hair out her face.
"Give me your hair tie." Chris said and he took it off her wrist. He pulled all her hair back and put it in a ponytail for her.
"I hope you ain't got me looking a mess in these people kitchen." Karina said as she dried her hands off. Chris laughed cause he knew the ponytail did look a mess.
As the appetizer cooked, they cooked Grilled Cajun Shrimp, Porterhouse Steak with Balsamic Reduction Sauce, mashed potatoes, and Spinach Salad. What should've taken 30 minutes, took 45 because the two kept playing around. There was jazz music playing and Chris would pretend he was playing the saxophone and Karina would dance with utensils. When the chef would come in the room, they would scatter and act as if they were cooking. Once everything was done, they plated their food and went outside to eat on the beautiful and private patio.
"Oh we snapped." Chris said as he ate. Karina nodded in agreement.
"So what made you ask me out?"
"Well technically I asked you out when we went out to the science shit." Karina put her head to the side and smirked.
"Technically you said 'wanna do sum?' not 'do you wanna go on a date with me?" Karina chuckled and ate her food.
"For real tho...I like you. And I'm not talking just as a friend either." Chris smirked and Karina blushed.
"I feel the same." Chris smiled hearing that she liked him too. But his smile dropped a bit.
"What do you think about me?" He asked.
"I think...you're tall and you always smell good." Karina said as she ate a piece of shrimp. Chris smacked his lips and Karina laughed. She wiped her mouth. "I'm joking. But I think you are a sweet, genuine, and talented person. Oh and an amazing father." Chris smiled at her response.
"Well...what do you think about what other people say about me?" Karina sighed softly and put her fork down.
"I already told you what I think. What do you think about yourself? All the people who have something bad to say about you don't know you from a can of paint." Hearing this made Chris feel better. The last thing he wanted was bullshit from the internet to mess up what he was trying to pursue with Karina. "Chris, what do you think about yourself?"
"I think- well I know that I've made mistakes but who hasn't? People crucify me and hate me even when I show the genuine love I have for people."
"You know Royalty thinks you are the best thing walking on the Earth?" Karina chuckled. "All she does is brag about you at school." She grabbed his hand. "What you think about yourself and what your kids think of you is all that matters. Stop letting the internet make you second guess who you know you are." Chris smiled at a smiling Karina.
He got out his seat, and gestured for Karina to get up as well. He grabbed her other hand and he kissed both of them. Karina giggled. He then put his hand on her waist and moved her closer to him. He leaned down and kissed Karina and she put her hand on his upper arm. As they kissed, they both could feel the butterflies they had flying chaotically in their stomach.
"Dessert- oh my apologies...I'll come back." The chef said and quickly left. Karina and Chris pulled away and laughed loudly at what just happened. They sat back down and the chef came back out with their dessert. He then left and let them have their privacy. The two talked more and enjoyed the rest of their date, loving every minute of it.
