Where...was he?
One moment he was sharing an—obviously—civilized conversation with the Dendro Archon, and the next second he could only feel excruciating pain.
Everywhere.
"You wretch! You can't even complete a simple paper!?" A sudden voice boomed, the flutter of papers hitting him in the face. "And you call yourself an Akademiya scholar?"
Akademiya—Now that was something familiar.
But who exactly was this man, speaking so abysmally towards himself, someone of obviously far greater intellect?
"Hah?" Wanderer spoke out, standing up from the ground. His face scrunched into an irritated expression.
He was about to bombard the man with a mouthful of complaints when a sudden, horrid realization stopped his lips from moving.
This voice was not his.
"Oh? Have the audacity to talk back now?" The Akademiya mentor sneered at his sudden attitude, grabbing a fistful of hair—hair which was definitely not his—and pulled the locks painfully against his scalp.
"Take this as your final warning, Ms. [name]."
Of course, Wanderer knew this man was all bark but no bite—but the involuntary trembling of this body said otherwise.
Satisfied with his display of fear, the superior clicked his tongue, releasing his grip and pushing Wanderer to the floor.
"I expect your paper to be done by tonight."
The door slammed shut at his final words, the click of a lock causing Wanderer to rush up towards the exit.
"What—" He grit his teeth as he pulled at the handle but to no avail. "Damn it!"

"Wan...er?"
...what?
"...nd...er?"
You slowly blinked your eyes open, clutching your head at the sudden dizziness that overcame you.
The concerned eyes of the Dendro Archon, however, were successful in jolting you awake.
"L-Lesser Lord Kusanali!?"
Your eyes widened, placing a haste hand over your mouth as you fell backwards.
This was not your voice.
You groaned at the sudden collision, rubbing your back as you sat back up, a comically large hat falling to the side—presumably from your head.
The Archon before you watched with concerned eyes, quickly recognizing something different from her pupil.
