"What are you staring at?", Silena asked her sister Y/n, poking her.
Y/n didn't answer, she was almost in a trance, staring off into the distance. Silena followed her sister's gaze to the Ares table, where she realized what was going on.
"The staring at Clarisse is kinda obvious, honey", Silena whispered.
Y/n jumped and sat up suddenly, "Shut up".
Silena giggled, "I know you're like in love with her, but you have got to be more discreet about it".
Y/n could only roll her eyes in response. There were no secrets between the two Aphrodite girls. Silena knew Y/n loved Clarisse before Y/n even knew. Clarisse was Y/n's best friend, who Y/n had been falling for for ages now.
Silena tried to no avail to get both girls to confess their feelings for one another. After ages of nagging she had finally made some progress with Y/n. Y/n could admit she was in love with Clarisse, but she was terrified to say it.
So Silena devised a plan, all she had to do was teach her hopeless sister how to flirt.
"I told you, just go over there and ask her out, she'd be crazy to say no to you", Silena urged.
Y/n shook her head, "No, no. Silena, there's no way she'd like me back".
"Y/n anybody would like you back", Silena sighed exasperatedly, "You underestimate your own power in making people fall for you".
"I do not Make people fall for me", Y/n protested.
Silena rolled her eyes, thinking of the amount of guys that had become rather enamored with her obliviously darling sister. She couldn't understand how Y/n didn't understand the simple power she held over people.
"90% of this camp would go out with you if you asked them to", Silena mused, "I'll prove it to you".
Y/n looked at Silena confused, as she stood up from the table and disappeared into the dining pavilion. A couple minutes later she returned with Lee Fletcher, a kid from Apollo cabin.
"Lee, look at this hopelessly adorable girl sitting in front of you", Silena instructed, sitting the boy in front of Y/n.
Lee smiled, "Hi y/n".
Y/n wanted to die of embarrassment, "Hey Lee. I don't know why she's roped you into this, sorry".
He chuckled, but Silena spoke again before he could.
"Now tell me", she kept her hands on his shoulders, "If she asked you out, wouldn't you say yes?".
Lee regarded Y/n for a minute, "Sure, why not?".
Y/n raised an eyebrow, "Wait for real?".
"Y/n, like most of camp would agree to go out with you", Lee shrugged.
Silena clapped and grinned proudly at Y/n, "Told you!".
Lee looked back and forth between the girls, "What is this?".
"Silena is insistent that I could ask out whoever I wanted", Y/n explained with a sigh.
"Who are you trying to ask out?".
Y/n fell silent, but once again her eyes darted across the room to to where Clarisse was sitting.
"Ohhh", Lee nodded, "That makes sense".
Y/n buried her face in her hands, "Is it that obvious I'm...".
"In love with her?", Lee finished, "Yeah. But it's obvious she's in love with you too I guess".
