Y/n Di Angelo was sat on the grass, her sketch pad resting on her knees as she drew. Her twin brother Nico was in their cabin, he wasn't a big fan of sunshine.
Y/n's hands moved quickly along the paper, sketching lines all over it of the scenery in front of her. From where she was sitting she could see some campers playing soccer, other kids talking, the lake behind them.
It was an average day at Camp Halfblood, and she decided to sketch what she saw. Y/n blended into the background, nobody noticed she was there, nor did they notice they were being drawn.
She finished the base layer of her sketch, and decided to go find one of her friends. She didn't have all that many, she didn't need that many. Y/n was content to keep her circle small.
She stood up and set off to look for Annabeth.
Y/n had a tendency to zone out while she walked, maybe it was due to the constant swirling of thoughts in her mind, or the ADHD that all demigods seemed to have, but she found it hard to focus on where she was going when she walked. She relied mostly on muscle memory to take her to the Athena cabin.
Suddenly, she felt something hit her, and she stumbled back, her sketchbook and pencil case falling onto the grass.
She sighed and bent down to pick them up, not bothering to look at what she hit.
That is, until the "What" handed her her stuff.
She was met with the face of a blonde boy, with bright blue eyes, he looked a little stunned as he held out the sketchbook to her.
"Uh here", he offered.
Y/n looked away from his face and down to his hands, she reached out to take the book, but he turned it back to himself suddenly.
"This is really good", he announced, looking at the drawing she had been doing, "Is this camp?".
The stunned look on his face had broken away to a smile, and Y/n felt her cheeks warm up just by being in close proximity to him.
"Yes", she managed to say, maintaining a look of stoic indifference.
"Really cool", he said, and finally handed over the book.
Y/n hesitated for a moment, then she took the book out of his hands and mumbled a 'thanks'. He looked like he was going to say something else, but Y/n didn't give him the chance. She looked him up and down and then walked away in the other direction.

Percy stood there for a second longer, before he turned to Grover.
"What's her name?", he asked quietly.
Grover almost laughed, "Hah! She will squash you like a bug".
"Her. Name.", Percy's voice sounded more insistent, almost stern when he said that.
"Y/n Di Angelo", Grover sighed.
Percy whipped around, "Di Angelo? As in Nico?".
Grover nodded, "They're twins, 2 years younger than us. She doesn't talk to like anyone except her brother and her friends".
"Well who's she friends with?".
Grover motioned to where Y/n was now walking with Annabeth, "Annabeth.. and besides her, Thalia and Hazel".
Percy thought over the information, "She only talks to them?".
"Mhm".
Percy sighed defeatedly. Of course the pretty girl he had just met had to be near impossible to get close to.
