The next couple days were very awkward and chaotic. We were obviously divided. Heather was still tricking Lindsey into an alliance so they were attached at the hip. Heather made sure to lock Bridgette in the bathroom a couple times. They always made sure to mean mug her every chance they got.
Leshawna and Gwen mostly hung out with one another. Although we were all cool, those two had gotten closer bonding over their hatred for Heather.
After the eating challenge and Heather decided to be somewhat encouraging, she had laid off me. We weren't at each others throats like we normally were. She even held the door for me once. I still despise her, but I guess she's learned to be mature and keep her distance. Maybe in another universe, her and I actually became friendly, and she won't keep lying about wanting to befriend me only to stab me in the back.
Thinking back on it, Noah was sort of right.
"I'm just being a realist. The world is going to take advantage of your kindess one day, and it's going to bite you in the butt."
Sometimes being a decent human being is a blessing and a curse. I wish I wasn't so forgiving, and could just be selfless like Heather.
But if I did that, then I just wouldn't be me.
That's probaby why me and Bridgette get along so well. We both live life with similar philosophies.
Ever since she's joined our cabin, Heather's tried to get the better of her, but she just shakes it off and keeps going. She's so compassionate and always willing to help. She reminds me of myself in some ways. I'm grateful that we're friends and very appreciative that she came out of this reality tv experience.
The competition would be over soon and all I had to do was get through a few more elimination ceremonies.
And I doubt that anyone would want me gone, right? I was cool with practically everyone. My closest friends were Bridgette, Gwen, DJ, and Leshawna. And I had recently gotten closer with Geoff. Duncan was easily swayed, because even though he's down bad for Courtney, he'll flirt with any female within a five mile radius. Lindsey was the sweetest, just very gullible plus her allegiance to Heather was insane. Trent and Owen were sweethearts too. Only thing with Owen is his flatulance.
Heather and Lindsey sat beside Leshawna on lawn chairs reading magazines while glaring at her every now and then. Me and Bridgette took a swim in the lake to cool ourselves off. Gwen sat at the dock writing in her diary. I splashed Bridgette in the face and then looked over as the yacht that took the boys was on it's way back to camp.
They were on the railing dancing as the yacht honked it's horn. They came sliding down the ramp one by one. Owen being the loudest per usual.
"Oh sweet mother of mirth. You can't buy that kind of fun!"
"I think Owen and DJ took a real shine at those lovely ladies who served us hand and foot."
"Hello? The spa treatments. My alligator elbows..totally gone!" DJ says holding his elbows towards Owen who gawks at them.
"Ooouuu like velvet."
We all stare at the boys in jealously as they flaunt their trip right in our faces.
***confessionals***
Leshawna : "Tch. Those shoulda been my alligator elbows gettin' a hand and foot treatment." She says while glaring at the camera.
Y/n: "Mmmm now that the boys are I back I keep thinking about how I ate all of that disgusting food...like worms...and snail...and-and.." I stop as I turn around and throw up in the toilet.
