Now that you and your wife are finally married, you two don't want to waste your time trying to have a baby, your baby. The only thing keeping you two from doing that is Draco. Your wife, even though she doesn't need (nor want) his permission to do something like this, would very much like to speak to her son before you two start trying for a baby. So here you are right now: waiting for Draco, his wife Astoria, and their 2 month old son Scorpius to arrive at your house so mother and son can have a talk (not that Draco knows this, obviously).

Narcissa's face lights up as her son walks in with his wife and their baby. She gently takes her grandson out of Astoria's arms and cradles him in hers while talking to Astoria about how the baby is doing.

As she holds Scorpius in her arms, gazing lovingly at him, you look at her, unable to hide the affection in your eyes. It's undeniable how happy and natural she looks being a grandmother, how good she is being a mother, and you can't help but feel a pang of sweetness as you watch her. She catches your gaze, and a soft smile spreads across her lips as she gives you a small wink, knowing exactly what you're thinking.

Unbeknownst to you, Astoria observes you and your wife's silent interaction and comes over to where you are, looking at you with a knowing smile. "You know, you're staring at Narcissa with that look in your eyes. I can tell you two want kids of your own."

Your eyes widen at Astoria's observation and you quickly glance at Draco, worried he might have heard the conversation. Fortunately, he seems to be engrossed in a conversation with Narcissa, completely oblivious to your and Astoria's talk.

Astoria chuckles, seeing your surprised reaction. She leans in a bit closer to you and lowers her voice as she continues. "Don't worry, Draco didn't hear. But I know it's something you're both thinking about. Especially Narcissa. I can tell she's yearning for a baby."

You chew on your bottom lip, feeling a bit anxious. "I know Narcissa is really looking forward to having a baby, but Draco... I'm worried about how he might take it. I know he's an adult, but he's still her son. And having a younger half-sibling at his age... it might be a strange adjustment for him. Especially after everything he's been through."

Astoria gives you a sympathetic smile, understanding your concerns. "I get what you're saying. But Draco's a grown man and he's matured a lot these past years. I think he'll be able to handle it better than you think."

She gives a reassuring squeeze on your arm. "And besides, he's really good with Scorpius. I'm sure he'll be a great big brother."

You are still engaged in your conversation with Astoria when you notice Draco walking out to the garden, and Narcissa's teary eyes. It takes a moment, but it finally registers in your mind that something clearly happened.

You excuse yourself from Astoria and walk up to Narcissa, worry etched on your face as you ask her in a hushed tone, "What happened, love? Did Draco say anything?"

Your wife quickly wipes away a tear from her cheek as you approach her. She takes a deep breath, trying to compose herself, but it's clear that she's upset.

She speaks softly and quietly, "I spoke to Draco about us having a baby."

Your heart sinks a little hearing her words. Based on her teary eyes and his departure, it's clear the conversation didn't go well. Y ou place a comforting hand on her shoulder, silently encouraging her to go on. You can feel the weight of her emotions, and you can only imagine what Draco must have said to make her this troubled.
