Tunde was sitting in his office, organizing some documents, when he decided to call his old friend Mide. He dialed Mide's number and waited for him to pick up.

"How far, nigga?" Tunde greeted when Mide answered the call.

"My boss!" Mide replied enthusiastically. "Long time no see."

"Abi nah. Na you no come company and you know say I be talaka (poor person), I no fit come your side," Tunde responded with a chuckle.

"Sorry, boss. I no fit continue ni oo. I don see confirm job," Mide said.

"So na my company no be confirm job?" Tunde teased.

"No nah. Na Chevron oo!" Mide exclaimed.

"Chevron? Congrats oo, bro!" Tunde congratulated him sincerely. "What about your share in my company?" he asked curiously.

"Don't worry about it. I don dash you," Mide said, smiling over the phone.

"Okay nah, my boss!" Tunde replied with a laugh.

The conversation shifted to Tunde's latest product and his plans to get an apartment around Lagos State University to facilitate marketing.

"I dey plan get apartment near LASU to fit sell my products better," Tunde explained.

"That's a good plan, boss. Just send your aza," Mide said before ending the call.

A few minutes later, Tunde received a credit alert of 900k just as Ada was returning from the office.

"È kàsan, Sir (Good afternoon, Sir)," Ada greeted Tunde with a smile.

"Wow! First time you're speaking Yoruba," Tunde said, surprised. "Bàwo nì ibisé? (How's work?)"

"Work was really interesting. Just as I resumed, I've been joined with a team, and we've got work to do," Ada said, her face lighting up with excitement.

"Switched so fast. You really don't speak Yoruba," Tunde joked.

"That's good to hear. I also got somewhere to go, wanna tag along?" he asked.

"Uhmmm...sure!" Ada replied. "I hope it won't take long," she added.

"Well, about that...I don't know. We are going to Ojo, Lagos. Heard of it before?" Tunde asked.

"Ojo? I haven't. Is it here on the island?" Ada asked curiously.

"No, mainland," he replied.

They got into Tunde's car and started their journey. As they drove, Tunde explained why he was going to Ojo.

"To aid my product marketing, I want to get an apartment for my company around LASU so I can easily distribute it to marketers to sell," he said.

"So you're going to be staying on the mainland now?" Ada asked, not really pleased with the idea.

"Uhmmm, just for the meantime," he replied. "I will give you the key to the company."

"Okay, thanks," Ada said, forcing a smile. She was already missing him.

When they arrived in Ojo, the streets were bustling with students. It was rag day, and students were dressed in various ragged outfits, looking like real mad people. They began their search for a good apartment, and after some time, they found a two-bedroom flat that Mide had already arranged.

The apartment was much bigger than Tunde's previous garage. It was spacious and clean. Tunde was really happy. Mide had arranged everything, meaning Tunde's money and savings could be used for more important things.

As they inspected the apartment, Mide had a heartfelt conversation with Tunde over phone "I know how much this company means to you, and leaving it is hard for me too. But I can't miss this opportunity at Chevron. You know you'll always be my best friend."

Tunde was grateful and reassured Mide that he understood. The two friends shared a moment of silent camaraderie before Mide left.

With everything settled, Tunde decided to stay behind while Ada prepared to return to the island for her job. They felt a tinge of sadness but tried to hide it.

Tunde handed his car keys to Ada. "It would be more convenient for you to get to your workplace with a car, and you won't miss me too much since you have one of my personal belongings," he said with a heavy smile.

Ada was really surprised by his decision. "What about you? How are you going to get around?" she asked, concerned.

"I'll sort myself out, don't worry," Tunde replied.

They hugged each other tightly, not wanting to let go. As Ada was about to leave, Tunde couldn't just let her go. He pulled her back, his hands gently placed on her waist. Ada felt a surge of nervousness, a feeling she had never felt before. In a swift motion, Tunde leaned in and pressed his lips against hers in a deep kiss.

Ada's eyes widened in surprise, but she slowly relaxed into the kiss. Their lips moved in sync, and Tunde's hands tightened around her waist, drawing her closer. Ada's hands found their way to Tunde's shoulders, and she could feel his heart beating rapidly against her chest. The kiss was tender yet passionate, filled with unspoken emotions that they both had been holding back.

For a moment, time seemed to stand still. The noise of the bustling street outside faded away, leaving only the sound of their breathing and the pounding of their hearts. Ada felt a rush of warmth spread through her body, her mind reeling from the intensity of the kiss.

Eventually, Ada pulled back, her breathing heavy. She looked into Tunde's eyes, searching for words, but none came. Tunde looked just as stunned, a mix of apology and longing in his gaze.

"I'm sorry," Tunde whispered, his voice barely audible.

Ada was too nervous to respond. She turned and left, her mind racing, leaving Tunde standing there, watching her go.

As Ada drove back to the island, she couldn't stop thinking about the kiss. Her lips still tingled from the sensation, and her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. She knew things had changed between them, but she wasn't sure what it meant or where it would lead.
