A few minutes after leaving Tunde, Ada headed to take her bath. The warm water helped her clear her mind, and she felt a surge of determination. As she was finishing up, she heard the familiar chime of a new email on her phone. Wrapping herself in a towel, she quickly checked her inbox.

Ada couldn't contain her excitement. She quickly dressed in her best outfit, applied light makeup, and packed a small snack along with her laptop. As she stepped out of her room, she encountered Tunde.

"Na this dress again!" Tunde remarked, his tone questioning if she had no other clothes.

Ada paused, feeling a pang of hurt. "It's my best dress; I love it," she said, forcing a smile. "And... I'm resuming today. Sorry I didn't tell you earlier, I just found out now."

Tunde noticed the flicker of pain in her eyes. "Good luck," he said, trying to sound supportive. As she walked away, he realized he might have been too harsh. He was only trying to push her to strive for better, but perhaps he had chosen the wrong moment.

Determined to make the day productive, Tunde focused on his project, aiming to complete three prototypes. A notification on his phone interrupted his concentration. It was news from Paystack, announcing the release of their new, user-friendly interface. Frustration surged through him, but he used it as fuel to keep pushing forward. He began making calls to set his marketing plan in motion.

Meanwhile, Ada arrived at the Paystack office. The modern, sleek design of the building at 126 Joel Ogunnaike Street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria impressed her. She walked through the glass doors and approached the reception desk.

"Welcome, Adaora," the receptionist greeted her with a warm smile. "The CEO would like to see you."

Ada's heart raced. The CEO himself wanted to meet her? She followed the receptionist to a spacious, well-lit room where the CEO stood waiting.

"Welcome to Paystack, Ada," he said, extending his hand. "We're thrilled to have you on board."

"Thank you, sir," Ada replied, shaking his hand, trying to hide her surprise and excitement.

The other employees, including Mrs. Abosede, watched in astonishment. Ada herself was shocked by the personal welcome.

"Mrs. Abosede, please show Ada to her desk and ensure she has everything she needs to get started," the CEO instructed.

Mrs. Abosede's smile was tight, masking her displeasure. "This way, Ada," she said, leading her through the office. As they walked, she explained the company's operations and her responsibilities. "And one more thing," she added in a lower tone, "don't think you can play any tricks on the CEO. Just do your job."

Ada nodded, sensing the underlying hostility. She settled at her new desk, taking a moment to absorb everything. The bustling office, the supportive CEO, and the palpable tension from Mrs. Abosede—it was a lot to take in.

Later that afternoon, the team gathered for a meeting. Paul, the head of the UI/UX department, outlined the new plan. "We need to roll out the new user interface soon," he said. "Ada, you'll be instrumental in this process."

After the meeting, Ada lingered behind to speak with Paul. "I'm excited to be a part of this," she said.

Paul smiled. "We're glad to have you. I've seen your portfolio; your work is impressive."

Their conversation went unnoticed by Mrs. Abosede, who had already left the room. Ada felt a wave of relief and motivation. She was ready to prove herself in this new role.

Back at Tunde's office, he worked tirelessly on his prototypes. As the day progressed, he felt a renewed sense of determination. He knew he needed to stay ahead, not just for himself but for Ada, whose presence had inspired him in ways he hadn't anticipated.
