Joshua’s news hit Chidi Okoye like a bolt from the blue. “Oga, I see Tunde and Ada together for Yellow Chilli Restaurant and Bar,” Joshua said, his tone cautious yet firm.Chidi’s eyes narrowed. “Together? What were they doing?”
“They looked settled, sir. Tunde planned a date, I guess. They looked close, boss.”Chidi leaned back in his chair, pondering the implications. “Keep an eye on them, Joshua. Let me know if anything else happens.”
Tunde stood outside Spike Technologies' garage, his heart racing with anticipation. It was the day of his carefully planned date with Ada, and he wanted everything to be perfect. Ada arrived shortly after, her car pulling up smoothly. She stepped out, looking radiant in a simple yet elegant dress.
"You look stunning, Ada," Tunde said, his eyes lighting up.
"Thank you, Tunde. So, where are we headed?" she asked, her excitement barely contained.
"I have a surprise for you," he replied, a mysterious smile playing on his lips.
Ada handed him the keys, and they drove to Festac, their first stop being a quaint Chinese restaurant known for its exotic dishes.
Tunde had made reservations at a popular spot, the Golden Tulip Hotel. They were greeted warmly and shown to their table, which had a beautiful of the garden.
“I can't believe this is a Lagos,” Ada said, glancing around.
“You really don't know Lagos, don't worry you'll get to some nice places today. I wanted today to be special,” Tunde replied, smiling.
They ordered Chinese rice with rabbit meat and chilled yogurt. The flavors were a delightful mix of sweet and savory, and they enjoyed the meal, sharing stories and laughing.
"I've never tried rabbit meat before," Ada admitted, savoring a bite.
"There's a first time for everything," Tunde said, raising his glass.
After finishing their meal, they left the cozy restaurant and walked towards Ada's car, the evening air cool against their skin. Ada smiled, feeling content and pleasantly full.
"I really enjoyed the food," she said as they got into the car. "No wonder you told me not to eat anything this morning."
Tunde grinned, starting the engine. "I wanted to make sure you had room for something special. I'm glad you liked it."
"So, what's next?" Ada asked, her curiosity piqued.
"Just relax," Tunde replied with a playful smile. "We're going somewhere fun."
The drive was filled with light chatter and laughter, the city lights blurring as they headed towards their destination. After a short while, they arrived at Elegushi Beach. Tunde parked the car and turned to Ada, his eyes twinkling with excitement.
"This is Elegushi Beach," he said, gesturing towards the waves gently lapping at the shore as they got down.
"It's one of my favorite places," Tunde added, guiding her towards the water. "Let's make some new memories."
Ada blushed when Tunde suggested she change into a bikini. She was hesitant at first, but Tunde's reassuring smile made her feel at ease.
"Don't worry, Ada. You look beautiful," he said softly, taking her hand.
They walked along the beach, the warm sand between their toes. Tunde bought barbecue from a nearby stand, and they enjoyed the tender, smoky meat as they watched children and couples play in the surf.
"This is so relaxing," Ada said, leaning into Tunde as they watched the waves roll in.
"I'm glad you're enjoying it," Tunde replied, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
"So...how long have you been planning this?" Ada asked curiously, turning to look at him.
Tunde sighed, a thoughtful smile playing on his lips. "That's a long story," he said, pausing for a moment. "I just wanted to make you happy."
Ada gazed at him, feeling a deeper sense of relaxation and comfort. "You've really gone out of your way," she said softly.
Tunde shrugged, his eyes meeting hers. "You deserve it, Ada. Seeing you smile makes it all worth it."
Ada felt her heart warm at his words. "Thank you, Tunde. This means a lot to me."
As it was getting late, and they made their way back to the car. Ada thought Tunde was driving home until he pulled over at a popular boutique in Lekki, known for its stylish clothing. It was the Vogue Concept Store, a high-end shop with a wide range of clothes.
"Pick whatever you like. Today is all about you, Tunde said.
Ada's eyes widened in surprise. "But Tunde, this place is expensive."
"All bills on me," Tunde insisted.
Ada tried on several outfits: a sleek black dress, a smart casual outfit with jeans and a chic blouse. A traditional iro and buba set, a re, a sharp female suit. Tunde watched his gaze appreciative and thoughtful as Ada looked so beautiful, elegant and charming in the dress.
"You look incredible in everything," he said, adjusting the zip on one of her dresses in the dressing room. "You shouldn't be here Tunde" Ada stammered, just then their eyes met, and suddenly they were kissing, a passionate, rough kiss that left Ada's heart racing.
"Tunde..." Ada breathed, pulling back slightly.
"I'm sorry, I just... couldn't help myself," Tunde said, his eyes dark with desire.
Ada smiled, her cheeks flushed. "It's okay. I... liked it."
As the evening wore on, Tunde drove to the hotel’s pool. “Do you know how to swim?” Tunde asked as they approached the water.
Ada shook her head. “I’ve never swum before. I’m not ready.”
“I’ll teach you,” Tunde said gently. “Trust me.” In the pool, Tunde guided her, holding her close as they moved through the water.
Their bodies brushed against each other, the closeness sparking an intense connection. They kissed deeply, Tunde’s hands roaming as he held her breath with his lips.
When he was going down on her, Ada closes her eyes, “Eyes on me, Love” he whispered, his voice husky.
Ada’s heart pounded, but she maintained her composure. “We should stop,” she said softly, pulling back.
Tunde respected her boundaries and found a way to make her laugh, easing the tension. They talked about his company’s progress and his plans to buy a new car.
“This day has been incredible and I guess I know how to swim now,” Ada said as they dried off by the poolside.
“I’m glad you think so,” Tunde replied, smiling warmly.
Joshua, who had been tailing them all day, sent updates to Chidi. “Oga, dem really enjoy themselves o. Tunde really plan this date well.”Chidi’s anger boiled over. “I don’t care what they’re doing. I will put an end to this nonsense,” he muttered, gripping his phone tightly. "They're heading to their house now" Joshua added and Chidi couldn't help but get more mad.
