Adaora, a brilliant yet self-doubting programmer from Ifo, Nigeria, faces the harsh realities of life when her mother falls ill. Armed with exceptional tech skills but struggling with low self-esteem, she ventures to a city in Lagos seeking for job...
Bam Bam sat in Chidi's living room, twirling the key he had handed her earlier in the night. Her heart raced with excitement, but underneath it all, a flicker of impatience started to creep in. She had longed for moments like this, alone in his space, surrounded by his things. The scent of him lingered in the air, and it made her pulse quicken. Yet, she wasn't entirely at ease. Chidi hadn't given her the attention she craved tonight. Her mind wandered to their past, to the wild, intense nights where he had claimed every inch of her body, marking her with his touch.
She closed her eyes, remembering his hands exploring her, his breath hot against her skin as he whispered things only meant for her ears. Those were the moments where she felt invincible, desired, and owned by him in the most thrilling way. She had thought those moments meant something deeper, but lately, his distant demeanor was beginning to eat at her.
Standing up, she crossed the room to his bedroom, her fingers grazing the edges of his wardrobe. She slid the door open, revealing his neatly hung shirts. Her lips curved into a smile as she grabbed one of his favorites, a navy blue one that always accentuated his broad shoulders. She slipped it on, the fabric cool against her skin. It smelled like him-like home.
A wave of gratitude washed over her. She wasn't the naïve girl who thought this was love anymore. She knew Chidi, with his power and magnetism, could have any woman he wanted. But for tonight, she had him-or at least a part of him. And that was enough, at least for now.

Meanwhile, at Abuja, Tunde sat at a small table in the airport's lounge, picking at his breakfast, his mind wandering. It had been a whirlwind few days in Abuja, and now he was headed back to Lagos. He was eager to leave, but there was a heaviness in his chest. Grabbing his phone, he dialed Adeola's number.
"Hey, Deola," he said softly when she picked up.
"Tunde! You're calling from the airport?" her voice was warm and familiar.
"Yeah, I'll be home today. Just wanted to check in, see how you're doing."
"I'm fine, I'm at home now, feeling much better. Safe travels, Tunde," Adeola replied.
"Thanks, I'll see you soon."
The flight felt long, but eventually, Tunde landed at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos. Stepping off the plane, his eyes scanned the crowd until they landed on Adeola and Sam waiting for him. Adeola's face lit up when she saw him, and she rushed toward him, throwing her arms around his neck.
"Tunde!" she exclaimed, squeezing him tightly. He hugged her back, his heart warming at the sight of her.
Sam greeted him with a nod and a smile as they all headed to the car. Adeola took the driver's seat, glancing back at Tunde with a playful grin. "It's good to have you back."
