Bam Bam's call came through just as Adaora was preparing for the night. Her voice was soft but carried a hint of something Adaora couldn't quite place. Bam Bam started by explaining that Chidi had chosen Hannah's proposal, saying it was a way to avoid unnecessary complications. She reassured Adaora, though, that Chidi genuinely valued her ideas and would still implement them—just after Hannah's.

Meanwhile, as Bam Bam was speaking, she glanced around Chidi's bedroom, a satisfied smile playing on her lips. She stretched out on the bed, enjoying the comfort of the room, yet fully aware that her message might sting. Unbeknownst to her, Chidi was already on his way to Adaora's, his mind preoccupied with what awaited him.

As he approached Adaora's gate, his phone buzzed with another message from Bam Bam, casually announcing she was "waiting for her reward" back at his place. Chidi hesitated but decided to handle things with Adaora first, quickly hanging up and, without much thought, adding her to his blacklist. With that, he made his way inside, noticing how Adaora's gateman barely acknowledged him with a nod.

He spent the night there, savoring the closeness and quiet warmth of Adaora's presence.

The next morning, a different scene played out in Abuja. Adeola stirred awake in one of her father's hotels, basking in the luxury surrounding her. She went through her morning beauty routine—her skincare, brushing her teeth, the gentle steam of a warm shower—before calling her brother, Paul, for advice on what to wear. On the video call, she casually mentioned her location.

"Tunde isn't with you, is he?" he asked, half-joking, but his tone hinted at a little more.

"No," Adeola replied with a small laugh, brushing it off. But the thought lingered.

In another part of Abuja, Tunde was starting his morning with intense focus. After sixty push-ups, his perfectly defined muscles glistened as he prepared a quick cup of tea, keeping his mind sharp. Clad in short joggers, topless, he exuded a raw physical presence. He settled down to continue a K-drama he'd started the previous night, taking a short break before heading out.

As 10 o'clock rolled around, Adeola was dressed and ready. She slipped into a black, figure-hugging gown that highlighted her curves and made her light complexion radiate. She knew she looked stunning and felt a surge of confidence as she called an Uber to the get-together party, a popular upscale restaurant in Abuja. Her friends, Aminat and Lola, were already waiting outside, flashing her wide smiles and waving excitedly.

"Adeola!" they called, rushing over for hugs. Just as they began catching up, another friend arrived in a sleek black BMW with her boyfriend, drawing cheers from the group. Adeola's smile faltered briefly—she couldn't help but think of Tunde and how he'd look next to her.

Inside, the restaurant buzzed with laughter and excitement. As her friends arrived with their significant others, one of them, Nkechi, proudly declared that her boyfriend couldn't make it due to an urgent meeting. Meanwhile, the guy who'd come in the BMW was happily showing off his affection, saying how much he adored his girl, and everyone clapped and laughed, swept up in the joy of it.

But things took a turn when one of Adeola's friends, Ebun, who had always been a bit envious, leaned in with a question. "So, Adeola," she began, her voice light but her gaze probing, "where's this boyfriend we've all been hearing about?"

Caught off guard, Adeola felt her cheeks redden. "I...I don't..." she stammered, but before she could finish, a voice behind her cut through the noise.

"She doesn't have a boyfriend. She has a fiancé."

The entire group turned to see Tunde, standing in his black biker jacket, the leather hugging his muscular form perfectly. He wore black gloves and a helmet, which he removed slowly, revealing a face that seemed sculpted from stone, his jawline sharp, eyes intense. He unzipped his jacket, revealing the fitted tank top underneath that showcased every inch of his physique.

Adeola's friends gasped, some murmuring, "Is he really your fiancé?" Others couldn't help but admire him. Even random diners started taking photos, recognizing Tunde as the CEO of Spark Technologies and Zenith Digitals. The attention was overwhelming; a few even approached, asking for pictures, which Tunde granted with a friendly nod.

Adeola's friends were wide-eyed. "Adeola! Your man!" Aminat teased, clutching her arm. Ebun looked visibly upset, and even the BMW boyfriend seemed overshadowed by Tunde's striking presence.

Finally, Tunde walked up to Adeola and, with a soft smile, leaned down to kiss her cheek. "Sorry I'm late," he murmured, his voice sending shivers down her spine. Adeola's cheeks flamed, and she could barely contain her smile as he handed her a small box.

"You forgot your necklace," he said, opening it to reveal the same pendant they'd once argued about—a piece she'd insisted he had bought for her, but he'd denied. Now, she let him fasten it around her neck, feeling an unexpected weight of emotion.

"Awwwwwn," her friends cooed as they watched the exchange. One of them raised a toast, declaring Adeola and Tunde as the "Best Couple" in their group. Everyone clapped, even those who couldn't hide a touch of jealousy.

As the food and conversation flowed, they shared memories and teased one another. When it came time for Tunde to join the discussion, he was unusually quiet, his gaze fixed on Adeola. She felt it, too, and when their eyes met, a laugh bubbled out of her.

"Someone's in love," Lola teased, nudging Adeola as they all chuckled.

Soon, the music began, and the couples got up to dance. Adeola took Tunde's hand, feeling the strength of his grip. She leaned close to him, whispering, "You really surprised me today, Tunde."

He gently placed a finger over her lips. "Save it for later," he murmured, his eyes full of promise.

Unable to resist, Adeola kissed his hand, her lips brushing his fingers softly. She leaned in as if to kiss him, but he pulled back slightly. Tunde wasn't entirely prepared for the kiss, but he noticed two of her friends watching them closely. Deciding to go along with it, he leaned down, pulling Adeola closer, and gave her a deep, lingering kiss, one hand gently squeezing her soft ass as he held her against him.

The height difference was undeniable, even with Adeola in heels, but it only made the moment more intense. Adeola felt a surge of warmth as Tunde's strong, wide hands rested on her ass, sending a thrill through her. She closed her eyes, feeling an instant attraction flare up. Although Tunde wasn't completely at ease with the display, he carried on, knowing he was doing it to save her.

Around them, friends cheered and clapped, caught up in the romance.
