ANNIE POV  - ͟͟͞☆

"Welcome to the lake everyone-" Leilani started. Annie cut her off, getting lost in the depths of her thoughts.

Standing to her right was the blonde haired blue eyed girl who Annie had been friends with since the start. Standing next to the beautiful girl made Annie feel insecure. From her perfect blonde waves to her perfect, freckle free skin, Madge looked great.

Annie tugged at her too red hair and bit her lip. She was brought out of her trance by Madge tugging at her arm for her to follow Leilani, who was leading them to a path that ran the opposite way from where they came in.

They passed the amphitheater and Annie thought about what Leilani had said about tryouts. Annie had always loved to act, even when she was little she would act out movie scenes and dress up in costumes.

Although she had a passion for theater, Annie had never once tried out for any type of play. Oh what they would think of her. She thought of all the possibilities in her endless arrays of thoughts swarming through her head.

She could completely go blank and forget her lines. She could trip and faceplant on the stage. People could laugh at her, make fun of the way she looked, and throw tomatoes at her. Ok, she admitted the last part was a bit of a stretch but the rest all had a possibility of occurring.

"Hey," a voice came from next to her. Annie startled and turned to the voice. Finnick was standing there in all his glory, shining a smile so bright Annie thought she would die on the spot.

Ever since Annie laid eyes on the golden haired boy, she had been developing a hopeless crush. It was stupid really. What could a guy as great as Finnick Odair ever see in small, shy, awkward Annie?

"Um, hi," she said, self consciously pulling a strand of her red hair behind her ear.

"What's up?" he said. Annie looked into her sea green eyes and immediately converted her eyes to her feet. If she looked any longer, she would surely get lost in them and make a fool of herself staring at his eyes and not responding. A stuttering mess was what she would become.

"Nothing really," Annie managed to say. "You?"

"Not enough sugar cubes," he sighed. Annie laughed lightly. "I only brought some on the tour, left my big bag of them in the cabin."

"Why do you like sugar cubes so much anyways?" Annie chuckled.

"Well have you tried them?" When Annie shook her head, Finnick's mouth dropped so low Annie suspected if he dropped it any lower it would hit the ground.

His hands flew to his pocket and returned moments later with a handful of sugar cubes. He outstretched his hand towards the red headed girl.

"Here."  Annie reluctantly reached out her hand and grabbed one of the small cubes, her hand brushing Finnick's in the process making her freckled face flush a light red color.

She glanced at him before popping the cube in her mouth. Her eyes lit up as her tongue hit the sugary goodness and Finnick smiled at the red head.

"Told you they were good," he said grinning. He casually draped his arm across the girls back as they followed Leilani causing Annie to flush a deep red.

Of course, behind them Madge was coming up with a ship name, this time with Finch.

"I already know what it should be," Madge said.

"I know right!" Finch exclaimed, pushing her glasses up on her freckled nose.

"Odesta!" Madge said at the same time Finch said "Fannie!" They both looked at each other and burst into laughter.
