Panem Summer Camp *ON HOLD*

Chapter Twenty One

FINCH POV  - ͟͟͞☆

Finch woke up on the floor. Last time she checked, she fell asleep on her bed and not wherever she laid now. 

The red head sat up and heard muffled laughter coming from under Effie's bed. Effie herself was still asleep but looked different than what she looked like last night. 

"What did you guys do?" Finch hissed at the girls under the bed of the counselor with whipped cream all over her. Three heads popped out one after another, all struggling to not laugh. 

"What does it look like we did?" Clove whispered. She had whipped cream spread across her freckled cheeks as if she was preparing for war. Katniss had a mustache of whip cream along with a beard and Johanna only had it on the tip of her nose.

"Why?" Finch asked, her lips unable to form a better question. All three girls shrugged simultaneously as the bespectacled girl rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Do you want me to record it?" The girls nodded eagerly so Finch picked up her blanket and phone from the ground where she had apparently slept the whole night after Johanna and Clove threw her off the bed.

She then climbed the ladder to her top bunk, wondering how she hadn't woken up from the impact when the two fifteen year olds violently tossed her off. She opened her phone to see 1248 messages from a group chat Marvel and Glimmer created with both Cabin 28 and Cabin 29. She chose to ignore it and tap on the camera app instead, getting it ready for Effie to wake up.

Luckily, it didn't take much waiting before the pink haired counselor awoke. Finch pressed the red record button. She watched as her counselor sat up in bed and rubbed her eyes only to get met with a handful of whipped cream. Her eyes flew open way quicker than before and she screeched loudly when she saw Katniss, Clove, and Johanna's work. 

Effie then swung her legs out of bed and onto the cold floor next to her and was immediately greeted with the three girls squirting water guns (who knows where they found those) at her feet. She squealed once more and jumped up, whipped cream flying everywhere as she attempted to shake it off instead of using a much more effective method like wiping it off with a cloth.  

Finch nearly dropped her phone off the side of the bed when the door flew open. Huh, I guess they only lock it to keep the kids inside, Finch thought to herself. The entire Cabin 28 stood at the door, alarmed expressions displayed on their faces. 

"What the f-" Haymitch started. Effie cut him off, making sure he didn't swear in front of the children. If only she knew what those kids heard at school.

"Oh! Haymitch!" the counselor said, still struggling to rid her body of all whipped cream. "I didn't know you would be stopping by!" The counselor in the doorway scoffed as he walked into the cabin, uninvited, the boys following him. Finch was shocked Annie, Madge, and Glimmer hadn't woken up due to the obnoxiously loud noises. 

"I wasn't planning on paying you a visit until I heard loud girl screams coming from our lovely friends' cabin. I thought I would at least check to make sure our neighbors weren't getting brutally murdered or anything."

"Oh I am splendid-" Effie started.

"You don't look splendid," the Cabin 28 counselor mocked. "And you are missing three campers," he observed. The rest of his cabin looked around the room counting the girls.

"Oh, I suppose you are right," Effie exclaimed, clearly flustered. "Uh, I suppose they have gone off to the lake or something." She laughed awkwardly, eyes darting around the cabin, searching for the girls. When she turned to check the bathroom Cato stepped forward and knelt down beside Effie's bed.

"Well, hello there Clover, Johanna, and Katniss. The exact people that have supposedly gone missing," the blonde boy smirked. 

"I will murder you," Clove hissed, darkly. Her, Katniss, and Johanna reluctantly came out from under the bed.

After getting scolded by Effie, and getting dressed, the girls stepped foot in the mess hall which was bustling with campers of all variety. 

Finch grabbed a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and a banana and sat down with Clove at a table with Marvel, Finnick, Cato, Johanna, and Glimmer. She instantly ignored her food, and pulled out her book and dived into her next chapter. 

That was until she got a face full of oatmeal.

The campers around her table were silent as she wiped the disgusting muck away from her eye and onto the floor. When she stared down the boys, Marvel was the one who had his spoon outstretched as if he had just launched something. 

"Uh, I'm sorry," he said quietly. Finch slowly set her book down, keeping her eyes on Marvel. "I'm really sorry. It was supposed to-" He was silenced by Finch dumping her Cinnamon Toast Crunch on Marvel. 

He screamed so loud the whole mess hall turned to look at them. Finch smirked at what she did but then was met with someone dumping their yogurt on her head. Someone yelled "For Narnia!" and the war began.

Everywhere, no matter which way you looked, food was flying. Campers were hiding under tables, chucking food at people, dumping milk on kids, running over to the breakfast buffet that had been set up for them and grabbing full containers of food to throw. It was absolute chaos. And in it all, Finch and Glimmer dived under the table Clove was standing on. The dark haired girl was tossing bananas in the air like it was confetti. 

Cato then came and grabbed her off the table causing her to kick and punch but it was futile as the blonde boy carried her over to where they were grabbing milk cartons off the shelves in the kitchen. 

Speaking of the kitchen, the workers held out wooden spoons, warning the children not to come any closer to them. There were people standing on tables, fighting each other with plastic knives. Finch had never seen so much craziness in her life and she was the one who started it. 

Suddenly, everyone froze as a man with snow colored hair yelled for everyone to stop. 

"We are so cooked," Finch whispered to Glimmer, under the table.
