Panem Summer Camp *ON HOLD*

Chapter Twelve

FINCH POV  - ͟͟͞☆

Finch pulled her red hair into a ponytail before getting in line behind Katniss for the zip line.

After Glimmer, Johanna, and Clove's canoeing incident, Cabin 29 had decided to go zip lining with Cabin 28. The two cabin had gathered up on the platform and they would soon be zooming through the forest.

Finch had never been zip lining before but had always wanted to try it. Most people couldn't guess by looking at her, but Finch was always looking to try new things and go out and adventure.

"Have you ever been zip lining before?" Clove asked, getting in line behind her. 

Finch shook her head. "Have you?"

"Nope, this is my first time," she said proudly. "I'm so excited. Ooh, and what if Cato's harness doesn't work and he falls to his death? That would be so funny."

Finch looked at her weird but then turned back to the front to check how long until she was able to go.

She counted six more people (Peeta, Thresh, Glimmer, Annie, Marvel, and Katniss) and stood, switching her weight from foot to foot, anxiously wanting a turn. 

She watched as Peeta, Thresh, and Glimmer all went flying down the zip line, Peeta screaming like a girl (he was terrified of heights), Thresh being stone cold, and Glimmer shrieking so loud Finch thought her ears would start bleeding. 

Annie stood at the edge of the platform, refusing to take a step forward so Marvel stepped towards her and nudged the red head forward causing her to pierce the air with her scream. 

Marvel requested to go backwards and the zip line person reluctantly agreed and soon Marvel was on his way too.

There was a small voice in the back of Finch's head telling that something bad was going to happen but she ignored it. Her paranoia always stopped her from doing cool things and she didn't want that.

Soon, Katniss went and then it was the fox faced girl's turn.

She stepped up the edge of the platform and the man standing there hooked her up to the rope. (I'm going to pretend there is like two things holding them up) Finch looked at the man who gave her a nod to go and she leapt off of the platform and into the air.

She was only able to enjoy it for a moment when something above her snapped.

She looked up and her faced paled drastically. 

Above her, one of the two cables holding her up at broken apart from the rope above and she was now hanging by only one rope. 

She took a few breaths in and out before trying to fix the situation.

She swung back and forth making the line shake but was able to get enough momentum to hoist herself high enough to grab the other rope. 

This stopped her in mid air but Finch was too focused to even care about looking down or to remember Clove was coming down shortly after her. 

She reached for the hook and found out the problem was that the man who was helping them hadn't fastened the clasp.

She quickly fastened it and then took a deep breath before letting go.

It worked! Finch began flying through the air again and she took more deep breaths to calm the nerves that were building inside of her.

Soon, she was back on two feet at the opposite platform and telling Katniss what had happened. 

"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" Katniss gasped. Finch nodded.

"How did you fix it?" Katniss asked.

"The stupid guy from the other platform didn't fasten the clasp so I had to do it my self!" she exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air.

"Gosh, I would've flipped out," she said, laughing as the two climbed down the ladder and hopped onto the hard ground.

They started making their way back to the cabin to change into their swimsuits so they could go to the pool.

They hadn't even made it a few feet when someone jumped onto Finch's back.

She looked to see Clove grinning atop her back and Finch laughed.

"How was your guys' zip lining experience?" she asked, hopping off of Finch's back and walking alongside them.

"Finch almost died, but we are all good now," Katniss said casually.

"Really? How?" Clove exclaimed.

"The idiot guy that was helping us down the zip line forgot to fasten my clasp," she said, rolling her eyes.

"He should've done that to Cato," Clove mumbled under her breath causing the red head and the brunette to burst out laughing.

"Oops, did I say that out loud," Clove asked, laughing awkwardly. 

The three girls reached the cabin and Finch grabbed her light green colored two piece and changed in the bathroom, pulling her hair into two buns.

She stepped out and grabbed her towel and her book (just in case) and stood to wait with Clove and Annie who had already finished. 

Clove was wearing a dark red two piece while Annie was wearing a light blue one.

Soon everyone was walking towards the pool, their flip flops slapping against the dirt.

They all had on two pieces but each was a different color. Finch's was light green, Clove had dark red, Annie was light blue, Madge had on a lilac color, Katniss' was dark green, Johanna's was black, and Glimmer's was hot pink. 

They eventually arrived at the pool and Finch, Clove, Johanna, and Katniss all threw their towels to the side and jumped straight into the pool, creating big splashes.

Glimmer, Madge, and Annie decided to tan over on some laid out chairs and Johanna and Clove competed in a contest to see who could get the three the most wet.

Katniss and Finch were having a cannonball contest until all four of them came together and had a chicken fight, Clove with Katniss and Finch with Johanna. 

Clove and Katniss won but they all ended up splashing each other until everyone's eyes hurt from the chlorine.

Finch watched as Clove and Johanna ran over to grab a large red bucket hidden in a corner and they filled it up with water. 

The two tip toed over to where Glimmer, Madge, and Annie were laying down on their backs and on the count of three they dumped the freezing cold water all over the three. 

They all shrieked and jumped up from their spots. Glimmer scooped Clove up and tossed her into the water, splashing Katniss and Finch who had been watching. 

Johanna came from behind Glimmer and shoved her in causing her to scream loudly. Johanna then pushed Annie and Madge in too and then cannon balled in, soaking everyone. 

Finch was having so much fun she almost forgot about her book and needing to finish it and she just relaxed and had fun with her friends without having to stress.

⋆⭒˚.⋆ SOPHIA SPEAKS ⋆⭒˚.⋆  Aloha my friends. Oops, Finch almost died. Here is another chapter and this one didn't have much of the ships in it but I am going to put more in the next chapter. In case you didn't know, Finch is Foxface's name canoniacally. I am going to try to write another chapter tomorrow but buh bye for now :)
