Chapter Fourteen

ANNIE POV  - ͟͟͞☆

Cabin 29 was outside playing field games with Cabin 28 when Annie felt the first drop. One drop turned into light rain, light rain turned into downpour. 

"Everyone!" Effie squealed over a loud BOOM in the distance. "You may run back to the cabins!"

Then she turned to Haymitch and ordered him to pick her up. He surprisingly did and picked her up bridal style as Effie opened her bright pink umbrella. 

They all looked at each other for a moment when Johanna called out "LAST ONE BACK TO THE CABIN HAS TO SMELL FINNICK'S SOCKS!" and then they bolted.

Annie was running with Madge on one side of her and Peeta right in front. All of the sudden, Peeta tripped over a rock and face planted into the mud. 

Madge skidded to a stop to help him up but Annie decided to just leap over him and continue on. She was so focused on getting back to the cabin before she got too soaked, she didn't hear the footsteps coming from behind her.

"Hey Ann," Finnick said from next to her, startling Annie so much she probably jumped a foot off the ground. Finnick chuckled.

"Get on my back." Annie cocked her head to the side at the boy with the sea green eyes. 

"Uhhh, what?" she said awkwardly, even though she had heard him perfectly clear the first time. 

"I'm gonna give you a piggy back," he explained. The two had now slowed to a jogging pace and were practically yelling over the heavy rain. 

"Why?" Annie yelled. 

"Just get on my back Ann," Finnick yelled, throwing his hands up in the air and laughing. 

Annie was getting tired anyway so when Finnick lowered himself so she could get on, she hopped onto his back and then he straightened to full height. 

The two ran through the rain laughing, and Annie was thankful she was on his back and out of his sight so he couldn't see the blush coming across her face. 

As they ran past Clove and Johanna the two girls made kissy faces at Annie which made her blush even more. 

PEETA POV  - ͟͟͞☆

As soon as he got back inside the cabin, Peeta peeled off his shirt which was caked with mud and sticking to his body. 

His face must of said it all because Cato snickered from his bunk above Peeta's. 

"At least Katniss wasn't watching," he teased causing Peeta to glow a bight red.

"Shut up," he said, glaring at the blonde haired boy. 

When Peeta stepped out of the bathroom in fresh, mud free clothes, there was a banging at the door.

"Who's gonna get it?" Marvel asked from where he was seated comfortably on his top bunk.

"Not it!" Peeta immediately said, touching his finger to his nose. 

His cabin mates  followed in suit until the only one who hand't touched their nose was none other than Gale who had been muttering nonsense under his breath while staring at the floor. 

"Gale, go get the door," Finnick said, hanging over his bunk to look at the brunette who was under him.

"What?" he said, snapping out of his daze. "Why me?"

"Because you were the last one to say not it," Cato said in a duh sort of tone. 

Gale growled at everyone before getting up and heading over to the door. He opened it up to reveal a lady in hot pink and a fully make upped face making her look as white as a ghost. 

"Effie? What are you doing here?" Gale asked.

"Hello my little sugarplums!" she squealed.

"Never say that again. Please," Cato and Marvel begged.

"You guys are to come with me over to our cabin while the storm is passing through!"

"Why?" Peeta asked.

"Oh because, my little sugarplums! Me and Haymitch want you to socialize!"

"And what are you gonna do while we are over there?" Thresh asked. 

"Me and Haymitch are going to have a meeting with the other counselors!"

"Do we have to go over there?" Cato asked.

"Yes! Of course! Now, grab what you need and follow me my little sugarplums!" Effie squealed, opening her umbrella on the front porch.

"If she calls us that one more time I am going shove that umbrella up her nose," Cato vowed, grabbing his phone and a bag of KitKats from under his pillow.

"Maybe, she'll trip and fall in the mud with those ridiculously high heels," Peeta said, grabbing his phone and a bag of sour patch kids he hid under his mattress. 

After grabbing what they needed, the boys of Cabin 28 followed Effie over to the girls' cabin which was next door. 

Effie swung the door open to a cabin with the same set up as the boys' cabin but with different color varieties. 

"Welcome to Cabin 29 boys!" Effie squealed and then closed the door and everyone heard the click of the lock in the deafening silence that followed her exit. 

GLIMMER POV

All of the girls including Glimmer, just stared awkwardly at the boys in front of them. 

"You guys can talk a bit louder," Finnick said, opening his bag of sugar cubes and hopping onto Annie's bed and offering her some making her blush the color of her hair.

The boys welcomed themselves in and found spots to sit and Glimmer almost fainted when Marvel sat at the foot of her bed. 

"So uhhh what do you guys wanna do?" Cato asked, breaking the silence. 

"Sit in uncomfortable silence and bully children on Roblox," Clove said from her spot next to him. 

He stared at her for a second, whether it was in confusion or in awe, Glimmer didn't know. 

"I'm in," Marvel said. "What's your user?"

They all exchanged usernames except Finch and Thresh. Finch was too busy reading her book to notice or care about the conversation going on and Thresh was just eating Skittles in the corner while watching TikTok. 

After bullying the kids, resulting in almost half of them getting banned multiple times, the group returned to another awkward silence.

"What should we do now?" Peeta asked. "It's still down pouring outside."

"OOH! I KNOW! I KNOW!" Finnick yelled, jumping up and down on Annie's bed nearly hitting his head on Madge's bunk above.

"What?" Johanna snapped, stealing some of Peeta's Swedish fish.

"TRUTH ODAIR!" he yelled excitedly. 

"I- oh my gosh," Johanna said, shaking her head.

"I'm in!" Glimmer squealed. 

⋆⭒˚.⋆ SOPHIA SPEAKS ⋆⭒˚.⋆ Aloha my pookies! Sorry for not updating in a while, I kind of ran out of ideas and also I was too busy reading stories on Wattpad XD. Thanks to @OdestaSlays for helping me with some of the ideas in this chapter. Also, thanks for 600 READS??? I can't believe I've gotten that many. Also, if you noticed, I had been going in the same order of POVs but I just switched Glimmer's and Marvel's around because I needed to do a girls' POV. I might update another chapter tonight if I have another idea or if someone suggests an idea (FEEL FREE TO DO THAT GUYS IT HELPS A LOT) but buh bye for now :)
