KATNISS POV  - ͟͟͞☆

Katniss awoke to a muffled version of I Want It That Way by The Backstreet Boys. She sat up abruptly, thinking it was a dream but she then heard it again, coming from next door. She swung her legs over the side of her bunk and reached over to her phone to check the time.

"4:36," a voice said from across the room on a top bunk, saving Katniss from having to check. She glanced over to see Clove sitting upwards on her bed in her sweatshirt and sweats, glaring through the window in their cabin.

"What are they doing?" Katniss groaned, sliding off her bed, her feet hitting the hard ground. She grabbed her phone and waited for Clove to get her shoes on so they could go yell at the boys to shut up.

"I don't even know," the shorter girl said. "I hate them so much," she said, as they slipped out the door quietly. The rest of their cabin were sound sleepers, while Clove and Katniss were not.

"Especially Cato huh?" Katniss asked, smirking.

"Yes, I hate that boy-," she paused mid sentence and turned to the girl with the braid. "You do not ship us together all right? If you do you will be dead by tomorrow got that?"

Katniss just chuckled as they walked the short distance to the boys' cabin, the music getting noticeably louder the closer they came. The wet dew on the grass soaked the ends of Katniss' shoes and she groaned internally at the fact she would now have wet shoes all day.

They climbed the steps and Clove pulled her hand out of her sweatshirt sleeve and banged loudly on the door. The two girls heard the music stop abruptly and shuffling around.

"I AM NOT GETTING THE DOOR!" someone yelled loudly from inside. There was more yelling and a few curse words and loud bangs before the door was finally opened by Cato.

"Well, hello there," he said smirking. "What brings you to our cabin at precisely," he checked his phone. "4:38 in the morning."

Clove looked like she was about to attack the guy so Katniss took control. "We would like you to stop playing Backstreet Boys.  It's a disturbance to all of humanity and is making our ears bleed."

Cato tapped his chin thoughtfully. "How about..... no." He tried to slam the door in his face but Clove's lightning fast reflexes made her foot shoot out and keep it open.

"Not so fast Blondie," Clove growled. "You will turn off that music or I will personally slit your throat with my knives."

"Oh Clover," Clove growled at the nickname. "You wouldn't do that to your favorite blonde haired boy would you?"

"Oh, she would," Katniss said, scoffing. "Please, turn off the music."

"Hey, maybe we should leave them alone," came a voice from inside Katniss detected as Peeta's.

"Thank you Peeta!" Katniss exclaimed. Clove glared one last time at the blonde haired boy in the doorframe before the two girls turned on their heels and left.

When they returned to their cabin, Clove mumbling about all the different ways she could kill Cato, they found everyone still sleeping.

Katniss climbed back into bed and played on her phone until everyone was up. She then got ready for the day, dressed in a gray t shirt and jean shorts, braided her chocolate hair back, and then left with the rest of her cabin for breakfast.

"Hey, sorry about the rest of my cabin," someone said, strolling up next to her. Katniss turned to find Peeta standing there in all his glory, blushing like crazy.

"Oh, it's fine. I was gonna be up anyways. Why not wake up to The Backstreet Boys?" Katniss chuckled.

"I found it quite annoying," Clove popped in. She was wearing a dark red shirt black gym shorts and her hair pulled back in some intricate bubble braid updo.

"Looking good Clover," Cato said, coming up next to them and checking the dark haired girl out.

"Shut up," she said to him. She then turned back to Katniss and Peeta, ignoring the blonde haired boy. Katniss did detect the faintest blush coming across her cheeks. It wasn't much, but it was there.

"Anyways," she began again. "Are you guys trying out for the play?"

"Yeah," Peeta said at the same time Katniss asked "There's a play?"

Clove nodded. The group had now entered the mess hall and the three of them got in the long line for waffles. "Yeah. They announced it on the first day."

Katniss didn't remember anything (she had the memory of a goldfish) but nodded along anyways. "What play?"

"They said this morning but I forgot. Probably because someone," Clove looked pointedly at Peeta. "Decided that playing Backstreet Boys at 4:30 in the morning would be a good idea."

"It was my idea," Cato popped in, getting in line behind them. Clove scowled up at him. Katniss found their very noticeable height difference incredibly funny.

"Of course it was your idea," she said rolling her eyes.

"I do happen to know what the play is so you better be nice to me or else I won't tell you," he saids smirking. Clove just rolled her dark eyes again.

"Just tell us the play," she said.

"Fine. Only for you Clover," he smirked. She looked away this time when she rolled her eyes but Katniss, yet again, caught her blushing slightly. "I think the play is going to be Mean Girls."

"Fun," Katniss said. "I'll probably tryout. When are tryouts exactly?"

"Tomorrow," Clove replied. Katniss nodded. The group got their food and headed to their respective tables, the boys' with Cabin 28 and the girls with Cabin 29.

Katniss nudged Clove on the way tot heir table. "Saw you blushing back there. You sure you don't like Cato?" she smirked.

"Oh my gosh. I am surrounded by idiots," Clove groaned, rolling her eyes yet again. Katniss just laughed, knowing the two would be perfect for each other.

If only Katniss could get the courage to confess to the bread boy from Cabin 28.
