(Y/N)'s POV

Annabeth and I watched as Aphrodite and Hephaestus were arguing loudly for all of Olympus to hear. The music had stopped and everyone's attention was on them.

We had all finished our dancing, and Percy went off to Iris-message Tyson and his mom, so Annabeth and I hung out.

Hephaestus's and Aphrodite's argument turned so bad that their bodies started lighting up, as if they were about to unleash their divine forms.

"Hey, now," Apollo said, trying to calm them down. "There's no need to disintegrate the kids who just saved the day."

Demeter let out a long sigh. She was standing next to Annabeth and me. "We can never have nice things. There is always some argument like this."

"What are they even arguing about?" I asked, watching in fascination. Aphrodite looked terrifying now, not at all like the serene and lovely person she had been when she had talked to me.

"The usual. Ares and things like that." Demeter huffed and crossed her arms. "Someone needs to break this up. It is embarrassing."

Zeus appeared and started angrily yelling at Aphrodite and Hephaestus for ruining the party. Then they started arguing with him, and then somehow Hera got involved who started yelling loudly as well, saying how they had spoiled a perfectly good family party.

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "They're almost like my stepbrothers, and they're kids."

Themis held up her hands. "All right, everyone. Party's over. Thank you all for coming."

There was a lot of grumbling and gods and godlings began to trudge out of the party room, annoyed.

Aphrodite and Hephaestus both scoffed loudly, and their bodies began to glow again.

"Look away, demigods!" Themis warned.

Annabeth and I closed our eyes, and when we opened them, Aphrodite and Hephaestus were gone.

We looked at each other before bursting into laughter and the ridiculousness of the scene we just witnessed.

"They really are like children," I said, snickering.

Percy emerged from wherever he went to Iris-message, and looked around confused. "Where did everyone go?"

"The party's over," answered Annabeth, an amused smile on her face. "The gods got into an argument."

Percy scratched his head. "So that's what all the yelling was about. My mom asked about that."

"How is your mom, Perce?" I asked.

"She's good. Oh, and uh, (Y/N)." Percy looked kind of flustered as he talked. "I asked my mom, and she said she would love it if you came over for Christmas."

I grinned. "Really? She'll let me? Sweet! Hopefully Chiron will let me go."

Annabeth looked surprised. "You're going to Percy's house for Christmas? That's...cool."

Percy had an apologetic expression. "Oh. Sorry. I didn't ask my mom about you, Annabeth. It's just (Y/N) and I talked about it on the quest, and..."

"It's fine." Annabeth crossed her arms. "I'll be spending Christmas with my dad anyway."
