Percy's POV

(Y/N) and I talked all throughout the long taxi ride to camp, which made my bad morning better. He was happy to see me again, and I shared the feeling.

He told me that some changes had been made at camp, like how there was a swordsman trainer named Quintus and that he had a cool pet, but (Y/N) wouldn't tell me what it was, saying he wanted it to be a surprise.

He said that he'd learned nothing about the whereabouts of Nico di Angelo either, which was pretty scary.

He also mentioned that Annabeth was working with Clarisse on some project, but he didn't have many details, because Annabeth was being very secretive about it for some reason.

"You know, I think she's kind of mad at me," (Y/N) said, fingering his bead necklace.

"Why would she be mad at you?" I asked. Annabeth and (Y/N) had been friends long before I entered the picture.

"Well, I think she really wanted to spend Christmas with you too, and when I got back to camp, I told her all about it, and she got angry, though she's hiding it well."

"Oh." I did feel bad that I had never invited Annabeth to my place for Christmas, but she never asked me if she could, so I just didn't do anything.

"It was a bit insensitive of me to tell her about how much fun I had, I think," (Y/N) said. "But it's not like she's yelling at my face or ignoring me, so it's not that bad."

"Wait, I thought Annabeth was staying in San Francisco. How was she at camp?" I asked. Last winter, she said she would stay at her dad's house.

"Well, she came back to camp twice since Christmas," (Y/N) answered. "One because San Francisco is infested with monsters, and two because she's working with Clarisse on whatever their project is."

"Clarisse and Annabeth, huh? That's a strange team."

"I know, right?"

"Any word on Luke?" I asked.

He shook his head. "He's definitely still alive. And Annabeth said Mount Tam is still overrun with monsters, but she says she doesn't think he's there anymore."

That didn't make me feel at ease. "What about Grover?"

"He's at camp," he said. "We'll see him today."

"Did he have any luck? I mean, with the search for Pan?"

(Y/N) winced, which wasn't a good sign. "It's a little hard to explain, but you'll see when we get there. Let's just say it's not going well."

He then told me about a dream he'd had just this morning as he was flying to Manhattan. He said he had seen a meeting with Kronos's siblings: Theia, the new commander of the army, Mnemosyne, Tethys, Oceanus, Krios, and Hyperion.

"This is terrible news, Perce," (Y/N) said. "It means Theia succeeded in freeing two of the Titans from Tartarus. And Mnemosyne's going to try and free Koios and Iapetus."

He didn't have to tell me that for me to know this was bad news. Then he talked about how the Titans were trying to get some unknown woman to work on their side, though he didn't know if she was some sort of goddess, Titan, or monster.

"Phoebe's still nowhere to be found," (Y/N) said, frowning. "Neither Tethys or Themis have made any progress, though Theia said she had an idea of where she might be."
